Abstract: Described embodiments are directed to systems, methods, and apparatuses for dynamically scheduling channel dwell times across two or more channels across a single radio using Multi-Channel Concurrency. Communications may be transmitted and/or received over a first channel of the radio during a first dwell time of a dwell period and over a second channel of the radio during a second dwell time of the dwell period. Some embodiments include adjusting the dwell period and/or dwell time spent actively transmitting or receiving on two or more channels based on measured channel utilization metrics, to drive toward a balanced utilization across the two or more channels. Other embodiments include adjusting the dwell period and/or dwell time of multiple channels based on latency information and/or priority information of at least one of the channels.

Abstract: Beacon-poll frames are transmitted from a station (STA) to a wireless AP in an opportunistic manner. In response to receiving a beacon-poll frame, the wireless AP transmits a unicast beacon frame to the STA, thereby eliminating the need for the STA to periodically wake up to receive broadcast beacon frames from the AP. The wireless AP may transmit the unicast beacon frame at a higher speed than a conventional broadcast beacon frame. As a result, the time that the STA must be awake to receive the unicast beacon frame is significantly less than the time that the STA must be awake to receive a conventional broadcast beacon frame, thereby resulting in significant power savings within the STA. The wireless AP may aggregate downlink (DL) data packets to be transmitted to the STA with the unicast beacon frame, resulting in further power savings within the STA.

Abstract: Systems and methods for formatting frames in neighborhood aware networks are described herein. One aspect of the subject matter described in the disclosure provides a method of communicating in a wireless neighborhood aware network (NAN). The method includes determining at least one connection setup information element indicating one or more connection parameters of the NAN. The method further includes determining at least one service identifier of the NAN. The method further includes generating a public action discovery frame comprising the at least one connection setup information element and the at least one service identifier. The method further includes transmitting, at a wireless device, the public action discovery frame.

Abstract: In a multi-radio user equipment (UE) various techniques may be used to buffer communications for a first radio access technology (RAT). A low channel quality for a second RAT is reported. An indication to halt downlink communications of the second RAT based on the reported low channel quality is received. The buffered communications by the first RAT when the second RAT downlink communications are halted are transmitted. An indication to the second RAT is sent to resume normal channel quality reporting.

Abstract: In some implementations, an initiator device establishes a measurement session with each of a plurality of responder devices based at least in part on their capabilities. The initiator device negotiates, with each of the responder devices, a respective set of one or more sensing parameters based at least in part on the capabilities of the initiator device and the capabilities of the respective responder device, the respective sets of sensing parameters associated with the responder devices being identified by a unique Measurement Setup identifier (ID). The initiator device performs one or more measurement instances with the responder devices based on the respective sets of sensing parameters, each measurement instance identified by a unique Measurement Instance ID and the respective Measurement Setup ID. The initiator device obtains, from each responder device, one or more measurement reports indicating channel state information (CSI) based on the one or more respective measurement instances.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A first wireless communications device may transmit, to one or more second wireless communications devices, a first message that triggers transmission of a second message by each of the one or more second wireless communications devices, the first message allocating to each of the one or more second wireless communications devices a respective frequency-based resource unit for transmission of the second message, each of the respective frequency-based resource units spanning a portion of a channel bandwidth of a channel. The first wireless communications device may perform channel sensing measurements on the second message received from each of the one or more second wireless communications devices. The first wireless communications device may estimate the channel based on the channel sensing measurements performed on the respective second messages received on the respective frequency-based resource units.
