Abstract: A liquid crystal grating, a driving method thereof and a 3D display device are provided. The liquid crystal grating includes: a plurality of periodical grating units, wherein each of the periodical grating units includes a plurality of strip-like electrodes; a first primary driving circuitry configured to drive the plurality of strip-like electrodes, to form a light-shielding section and a light-transmitting section in each of the periodical grating units; at least one second primary driving circuitry configured to drive the plurality of strip-like electrodes, to form the light-shielding section and the light-transmitting section in each of the periodical grating units; and a control circuitry configured to select the first primary driving circuitry or the second primary driving circuitry to drive the strip-like electrodes in accordance with a distance between a user and the liquid crystal grating.

Abstract: An in-vehicle rear-view display system is described, comprising: a display device comprising a dimming device configured to adjust luminance of light emitted from the display device based on a color change of the dimming device; a first control unit connected with the dimming device and configured to control the color change of the dimming device in accordance with a luminance change of an irradiation light. By arranging in the display device a dimming device capable of adjusting the luminance of light emitted from the display device, the first control unit can control the color change of the dimming device in accordance with the luminance change of the ambient light, and thereby control the luminance of light emitted from the display device so as to preventing glare. Meanwhile, the poor clarity of the screen caused by an anti-glare screen film added to the screen of the display device is avoided.

Abstract: A display device and a driving method for the same are disclosed. The display device includes a LCD panel and a backlight module disposed at a light incident side of the LCD panel; a surface of the backlight module facing the LCD panel is provided with a diffraction grating structure. Under 3D display mode, the light emitted by the backlight module is incident onto the LCD panel through the diffraction grating structure and formed into alternately bright and dark stripe patterns which are arranged laterally and extending lengthways, wherein every at least three bright stripe patterns arranged in sequence are considered as a group, and the bright stripe patterns in each group have colors different from each other. The display device not only reduces the entire thickness, but also improves the transmittance and reduces the power consumption, accordingly.
