Abstract:
A hand guard is provided for a firearm, such as a rifle, and may be suitable for maintaining the alignment of the hand guard, and any accessories coupled thereto, relative to the rifle. The hand guard may be configured so that at least a portion of the hand guard can be removed from the firearm and then re-installed on the firearm without significant change in the orientation and position of the hand guard. The hand guard may also be suitable for coupling accessories such as lights, scopes, laser sights, and other firearm accessories to the firearm.
Abstract:
Various clips for mounting accessories to rails, tracks and/or other mounts are described. In some examples, a clip may include a first part and a second part configured to at least partially cooperate with the first part to apply pressure to opposite sides of the rail, track or other mount. A tensioning mechanism may be configured to pull the first part and the second part together and/or to push the first part and the second part apart. A third part that may be configured to rotate with respect to the first part and/or the second part from an open position to a closed position, and to cooperate with the tensioning mechanism to pull the first part and the second part together and/or to push the first part and the second part apart. The third part may include a cam that is configured to increase a pressure applied by the first part and the second part to the rail, track or other mount when the third part is closed.
Abstract:
An accessory mounting interface for a firearm is provided. The accessory mounting interface has a firearm accessory, a first elongated fastener, a second fastener, and an elongated slot in a firearm. The second fastener has two straight edges parallel to each other, and at least one of the two straight edges prevent the second fastener from rotating beyond a closed position once a portion of the second fastener has passed through and at least partially cleared the elongated slot.
Abstract:
This disclosure describes systems, methods, and apparatus for a barrel support for a for a firearm stock. In one example, the barrel support has an elongate frame with a longitudinal axis extending between a fore portion and an aft portion, a first concave barrel recess shaped to support a first barrel, the first concave barrel recess positioned on a first side of the elongate frame. The exemplary barrel support also has a second concave barrel recess shaped to support a second barrel, the second concave barrel recess positioned on a second side of the elongate frame. In this example the first barrel is a tapered barrel, and the second barrel is a straight barrel.
Abstract:
A swivel handle assembly is disclosed. The swivel handle assembly comprises a ball attachment, a fitting, a handle, and a friction pin. The handle is a hollow elongate cylinder with openings at each end of the handle. The ball attachment fits within the first end of the handle and extends through the first opening. The handle is rotatable around the ball attachment. The friction pin is inserted through the second end of the handle. The friction pin extends through the body of the handle and engages the fitting, pushing the fitting against the ball attachment. When the friction pin is fully engaged against the fitting the handle is locked into position. The user can position the handle on the ball attachment in a desired position and lock the handle in place during use.

Abstract:
A method of locking a handguard relative to an upper receiver of a firearm. The method includes providing a wedge assembly having a top wedge member and a bottom wedge member, each having complementary inclined surfaces; a barrel nut that is configured to receive an outer portion of an upper receiver; and a handguard that is configured to receive the barrel nut and the combined wedge assembly within a lower lip of the handguard. The wedge assembly may include an optional assembly screw and a locator pin where the top wedge member and bottom wedge member are tightly joined to each other via the assembly screw and the locator pin. In use, the lock-up system is used to join the handguard and barrel nut to a corresponding upper receiver with little to no play between the handguard and the upper receiver such that the connection between the two via the wedge assembly is intended to be permanent.
Abstract:
A handguard assembly for a firearm is provided, comprising a handguard configured to overlie a barrel of the firearm in spaced relationship, the handguard comprising a plurality of apertures; a rail segment including a plurality of mounting bosses, each of the plurality of mounting bosses located in a different one of the plurality of apertures of the handguard; a plurality of rotatable fasteners to fasten the rail segment to the handguard, each of the rotatable fasteners located in a different one of the mounting bosses of the rail segment; and each of the rotatable fasteners comprising a mounting latch to mount the rail segment to the handguard, each mounting latch rotatable from an aperture insertion position overlying a top of the boss to a mounting position overlying the handguard.
Abstract:
A toy gun assembly structure includes a gun frame, a hand guard sleeve, a gun barrel and a hand guard. The hand guard sleeve connected to the gun frame includes an inner insertion portion and an outer mounting portion. One end of the hand guard sleeve faces toward another end to define an axial direction. The inner insertion portion and the outer mounting portion respectively include first and second guiding members along the axial direction. The gun barrel is inserted into the inner insertion position. An outer perimeter of the gun barrel includes first corresponding guiding members slidably attached to the first guiding members correspondingly. The hand guard is mounted onto the outer mounting portion. An inner perimeter of the hand guard includes second corresponding guiding members slidably attached to the second guiding members correspondingly. Therefore, easy assembling and time saving for the gun assembly structure can be achieved.
