Abstract:
An aerosol container (1) comprising a body (50) and cone (60) and encasing a composite spout (30) and bag (40) combination. The composite spout (30) has a metal tubular section (10), adapted to accommodate a valve arrangement (70, 75) and a polymer fishtail section (20), adapted to form a leak-proof seal with the bag (40). A product is filled into the bag (40) and propellant is filled into the sealed chamber defined between the outside of the bag (40) and the internal surface of the body (50)/cone (60).
Abstract:
A quick-mounting device for canisters comprises a housing and a an adjustment. The housing defines a recess at a top thereof and a hollow space therein. The housing is sealed with a cover that defines a though hole at a center thereof. The an adjustment includes two arched pieces and a control piece. The arched pieces are placed in the recess of the housing to define an opening therebetween. The control piece has a pusher and is placed on top of the arched pieces to engage with two ends of each arched piece. Each arched piece is provided with a spring at an external side thereof intermediate of the two ends. Thereby, the pusher of the control piece can be pressed to have the two arched pieces moved outwardly to change the dimension of the opening defined by the two arched pieces so as to mount a canister.
Abstract:
A dispenser assembly for dispensing disinfectant to a user and associated monitoring systems and methods. The dispenser assembly includes a main housing defining a cavity and a container disposed within the cavity and releasably secured to the main housing. The container contains a fluid therewithin. An electronics unit is coupled to the main housing and includes a sensor for detecting an activation signal. The electronics unit includes a controller for producing a reminder signal in response to the detection of the activation signal to remind the user to dispense fluid from the container.
Abstract:
An aerosol container includes a main body portion that is constructed and arranged to withstand aerosol pressurization within a range that is about 90-180 psig and a threaded finish portion that is unitary with the main body portion. The threaded finish portion has at least one helical thread, a support ledge beneath the helical thread and a secondary flange that is positioned beneath the support ledge. The secondary flange has an outer circumference that is noncircular in at least one location, whereby it may be engaged during a capping operation to prevent rotation of the container during capping. A method of making an aerosol container in which a preform is capped before the blow molding process is also disclosed.
Abstract:
A personal self defense device containing a housing, grip section, canister, actuator, a slide plate, and disarming device. The disarming device prevents operation of the device should the device be removed from the grasp of a victim. The disarming device can rotate in several directions and the force required for its operation can be adjusted. The device further includes a camera, illumination device, power source, and memory storage device.
Abstract:
A container comprises a container body and a lid. The lid has a top and a skirt and an outer layer of material softer than the skirt is adhered to the outer surface of the skirt. The outer layer may have a thickness of at least 20 mils and may be molecularly bonded to the skirt. Advantageously, the outer layer covers substantially the entire surface of the skirt. The lid may be formed using a two-shot injection molding process in which the lid is formed in a first step and the outer layer of a softer material is formed on the skirt of the lid during the second step of the two-shot injection molding process. In addition, the container body includes one or more grippable surfaces as areas of relatively higher coefficients of friction.
Abstract:
A pressurized aerosol dispenser comprising a container (2) for material to be stored therein and dispensed therefrom, and a metering dispensing valve (1), said metering dispensing valve (1) comprising a generally cup-shaped metering vessel (7) held in place by means of a cap (3) fixedly mounted upon said container (2), and a sealing member (9) disposed between the metering vessel (7) and the cap (3), said sealing member (9) having an opening within which a valve stem (8) is mounted for sliding movement along a longitudinal axis, the metering vessel (7) having an open mouth, an internal surface of which defines an annular contact surface (24, 25) against which said sealing member (9) bears, wherein said contact surface (24, 25) comprises a first outwardly-flared portion (24) disposed at a first angle to said longitudinal axis and a second outwardly-flared portion (25) disposed at a second angle to said longitudinal axis, said second angle being greater than said first angle such that an annular ridge (26) is formed.
Abstract:
A refillable spray container including a container main body and a cap with a nozzle, wherein a tubular mouth piece provided with engaging projections is mounted to a mouth portion of the container main body, and wherein a cap provided with a guide groove that engages with the engaging projections in a bayonet style is attached to the mouth piece in a freely attachable/detachable manner. The cap includes a brim portion for sealing a top surface portion of the mouth piece and a cylindrical portion that is inserted into the interior of the mouth piece, wherein a guide groove is formed on an outer periphery of the cylindrical portion.
Abstract:
A container includes two container members which, when together, form an interior which includes a cup sized and shaped to hold a cupcake. The cup has a bottom, sides, and at least one protrusion extending inwardly from at least one of the sides. The protrusion is positioned and protrudes inwardly enough such that, when a cupcake in a cupcake baking liner is placed in the cup, the protrusion is below the top of the cupcake baking liner and the protrusion holds the cupcake in a substantially stationary position. One of the members may be a top member and the other, a bottom member. The bottom member (the member with the cup(s)) may have vertical pleats in opposite sides of the cup(s). The pleats are spreadable at the top of the cup(s) to allow easier removal of a cupcake. The pleats are also compressible to allow the member to better hold a cupcake. The bottom member may also have an upwardly projecting midline crease in the bottom of the cup when the pleats are open, the crease extending from the pleats on one side of the cup to the pleats on the other side of the cup. When a crease is provided, the bottom of the cup is flexible enough to allow the crease to flatten to some degree when a cupcake is placed in the bottom member, thereby helping to close the pleats.
