Abstract:
Approaches to providing z-filter media constructions are provided. Preferred media, filter constructions having such media, and filter systems using such filter constructions are provided. Also, preferred methods of forming filter constructions are provided.
Abstract:
A filter element is provided with a snorkel that facilitates bleeding of air along the outside periphery of a tubular filter media pack to a bleed chamber contained within the filter element. This may be employed in fuel filtration applications during installation and removal of filter elements whereby air can be temporarily trapped in a housing containing the filter element. The snorkel thus vents the air along the outside of the filter element and then into a bleed chamber where it can be communicated to a standpipe having an isolated bleed passage.
Abstract:
A drinking water vending dispenser for dispensing purified water comprising a coarse mechanical filter, an RO purification unit, an ozone purification unit, a UV purification unit, an active carbon filter, a chemical base purification unit and a fine mechanical filter.
Abstract:
Filter media, including those suitable for hydraulic applications, and related components, systems, and methods associated therewith are provided. In some embodiments, a filter media may include a non-woven layer comprising blend of glass fibers and polymeric staple fibers. The polymeric staple fibers may have a relatively small diameter. The non-woven layer comprising the fiber may have desirable properties such as one or more of a low micron rating for beta efficiency, high dust holding capacity, and/or a low resistance to fluid flow. In certain embodiments, the filter media may include two or more layers, at least one of the layers including a non-woven layer comprising the fiber blend. In some such cases, the filter media may include one or more layers that serve to enhance the overall properties of the filter media.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a filter unit (600), a method for manufacturing such a filter unit, and a cartridge (690) comprising such a filter unit. The filter unit (600) is characterized in that it comprises a filter material (601) which is integrated into the aperture of at least one foil (602, 603, 604). In a preferred embodiment, the filter material (601) may be located in the aperture of an intermediate foil (604) which is embedded between a top foil (602) and a bottom foil (603). Such a filter unit (600) can readily be produced in cost-effective processes like roll-to-roll manufacturing technologies.
Abstract:
Embodiments disclosed herein relate to a fluid distribution apparatus. The fluid distribution apparatus has a housing including an inlet configured to receive a drilling material, a first outlet configured to direct a first portion of the drilling material onto a first separatory surface, and a second outlet configured to direct a second portion of the drilling material onto a second separatory surface. The fluid distribution apparatus further includes a screen disposed within the housing and configured to separate solids from the second portion of the drilling material directed through the second outlet onto the second separatory surface.
Abstract:
A screen (10, 50) comprising at least an outer and an inner layer (12, 14) of generally rod-shaped screen members (16, 18), the screen members each extending in a parallel but laterally off-set arrangement.
Abstract:
A method of manufacturing a filtering screen includes: attaching handle members (3) to edges of at least one wire cloth (1); providing a jig comprising tensioning means (23); placing the at least one wire cloth (1) in the jig and engaging the handle members (3) with handle member engagement portions (15) of the tensioning means (23). The tensioning means (23) are operated to drive the handle members (3) outwardly to tension the wire cloth (1) in orthogonal directions. The method also includes pressing the tensioned wire cloth (1) against a screen frame (6); bonding the wire cloth (1) to the screen frame (6); and trimming the wire cloth.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a hotmelt adhesive comprising a hotmelt adhesive mixture, the mixture including a) 15-85% by weight of a first, polyester-based hotmelt adhesive and b) 15-85% by weight of a second, polyamide-based hotmelt adhesive.
Abstract:
A filter assembly includes a housing and filter elements. The housing includes internal chambers between first and second parallel outside surfaces, fluid inlet bores, and fluid outlet bores. Each internal chamber includes a filter element that partitions the internal chamber into an inlet chamber section and an outlet chamber section. The housing establishes a plurality of fluid flow channels from the inlet bores, through the inlet chamber sections, through the filter elements, through the outlet chamber sections and to the outlet bores, respectively. Each fluid channel includes a transverse fluid flow component in the inlet chamber section and the outlet chamber section. The filter assembly may be loaded into a filtering apparatus such that a plurality of separate fluid flow channels is established through the filter assembly. Fluid may be flowed through two or more of the fluid flow channels, wherein the fluid in each of the two or more fluid flow channels passes through the respective filter element and is filtered thereby.
