摘要: A wound therapy apparatus is disclosed that includes a wound interface securable to a skin surface around a wound bed to form an enclosed space over the wound bed that is fluid-tight. The wound therapy apparatus-may include a dressing engaged with the wound interface to contact the wound bed. A spacer may be disposed within the enclosed space proximal of the dressing to define a plenum between portions of the wound interface and a proximal side of the dressing. Gas within the enclosed space may have an O2 concentration greater than the O2 concentration in atmospheric air. The dressing may include a hydrophobic material, hydrophobic material, or a distal layer comprised of silicone having fenestrations therein, in various aspects. The pressure p0 within the enclosed space may vary over a pressure range pmin≤p0≤pmax. Related methods of use are also disclosed.

摘要: An apparatus for treating a tissue site includes a dressing, an oxygen source, a valve, and a negative-pressure source. The dressing is configured to be sealed around the tissue site. The oxygen source is fluidly coupled to the dressing and configured to provide a low flow of oxygen. A first port of the valve is fluidly coupled to the dressing and the valve moves between a closed position preventing flow through the valve and an open position permitting flow through the valve. The negative-pressure source is fluidly coupled to a second port of the valve and provides negative pressure to the second port of the valve at a non-therapeutic level. The valve separates the negative-pressure source from the dressing and selectively opens when a positive pressure is applied on an upstream side of the valve.

摘要: A lip augmentation assembly and method of selectively plumping the lips provides a housing having a first end forming a grip, and a second end. The housing encases a motor and a vibrating member. A vibrating head snugly couples to the second end of the housing. The head engages the inner surface of the lips. The head has an irregular oval shape, opposing wide sidewalls, opposing narrow sidewalls, and a concave-shaped terminus. Vibration nodules are arranged in a grid-like pattern on the wide and narrow sidewalls of the head. The vibration nodules receive vibrations from the vibrating member. An epidermal cell growth serum is topically applied to the lips before, and after, engagement with the vibration nodules. Pressing the wide sidewall of the head against the inner surface of lips, applies a deeply focused pressure on the lip. Pressing the narrow sidewall against the lips augments selected segments of lips.

摘要: A new minimally invasive surgical approach is proposed that contemplates a method and apparatus for tightening lax skin without visible scarring via a device in various surgical procedures such as plastic surgery procedures. In some embodiments, the device is a single use disposable instrument. This approach circumvents surgically related scarring and the clinical variability of electromagnetic heating of the skin and performs small multiple pixilated resections of skin as a minimally invasive alternative to large Plastic surgical resections of skin. This approach can also be employed in areas of the body that are currently off limits to plastic surgery due to the visibility of the surgical scar. In addition, the approach can perform a skin grafting operation by harvesting the transected incisions of skin from a tissue site of a donor onto a skin defect site of a recipient with reduced scarring of the patient's donor site.

摘要: Systems, instruments, and methods are described in which an apparatus comprises a housing including a scalpet device. The scalpet device includes a scalpet array that includes scalpets arranged in a pattern. The scalpets are deployable from the housing to generate incised skin pixels at a target site. The housing is positioned and the scalpet array is deployed into tissue at the target site. Incised skin pixels are generated when the target site is a donor site, and skin defects are generated when the target site is a recipient site. The incised skin pixels are harvested.

摘要: A transfer system comprises a plurality of rollers configured to provide a rotating function; an endless belt installed on the plurality of rollers; a thin-film having a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface; and a functional material adhered on the first surface, the functional material including at least one of a cosmetic material and a medical material. The thin film and the functional material are retained on the endless belt so that the functional material is in contact with the endless belt. The thin film and the functional material are transferred to an adherend so that the second surface is in contact with the adherend. A transfer system includes: a thin-film having a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface; a functional material adhered on the first surface; and a transfer apparatus having a third surface on which the thin film and the functional material are retained so that the functional material is in contact with the third surface.
