    摘要: An ignition control system senses the time for igniting a fuel mixture in a cylinder from a signal generated by a pickup transducer on the distributor driveshaft. A current, limited to a selected maximum value, is drawn through the primary of an ignition coil by a power output circuit. The time during which this current stays at that maximum value is controlled to minimize both the power drain on the system and the operating temperature of the power output circuit. Structure is provided to protect the power output circuit from current surges flowing from the ignition coil when the power output circuit is turned off. Structure is also provided to turn off the output circuit when a voltage in excess of a given value is applied to the supply voltage. Additional structure is provided for dissipating energy stored in the ignition coil when a spark plug fails to fire.

    摘要: An ignition device for internal-combustion engines, wherein a spark gap is, energized by a voltage pulse, has a transformer having primary and secondary windings, the secondary winding being connectable to the spark gap. An amplifier is connected to the primary winding and a magnetic circuit provides a magnetic field having an intensity which changes between determined values thereof. A galvanomagnetic sensing element is disposed in the magnetic field and is responsive to the changes in the field intensity. The sensing element is connected to the amplifier for controlling the flow of current through the primary winding so as to develop voltage pulses across the secondary winding for energizing the spark gap.

    摘要: In an ignition system for an internal combustion engine a light beam incident upon a photocell is interrupted at a rate synchronized with the engine speed and angular position of the crankshaft generating timing pulses which are amplified and then shaped into square pulses by a pulse-shaping means and applied to a transistor switch in series with the primary winding of the ignition coil. The square pulses alternately open and close the transistor switch causing the ignition coil to generate ignition pulses in its secondary winding which are applied to the spark plugs of the engine.
