摘要： Embodiments of the invention provide systems and methods for insulating a component of a home or building. An insulated component may include a generally planar surface and a frame positioned atop one side of the generally planar surface. The frame may include a plurality of outer studs coupled together to form an outer periphery and inner studs that divide the frame into one or more sections. One or more of the sections may include a cavity or hollow space. The insulated component may also include a first layer of insulation within one or more of the cavities. The first layer of insulation may include a pour insulation material that transitions from a liquid state or phase to a solid state or phase.

The article of manufacture comprises fibers having crimps and surface features such as scales that provide a batt structure which is resiliently compressible. Fiber treatments provide fire, pest, fungus, and mold resistance. The treatments can be to the surface or to the internal structure of the fiber. The insulation batts are comprised of one or more layers of intermeshed fibers. The fibers can be wool or other protein based hair. The batts can include a restrainment structure that limits that expansion of the batts.

摘要： An insulated enclosure includes a plurality of walls, each of the walls comprising structural insulated panels joined to adjoining structural insulated panels by joints. Each of the structural insulated panels includes a frame having a first vertical frame member, a second vertical frame member, a top frame member, a bottom frame member, and siding members disposed on opposing sides of the frame to define a cavity therebetween. The vertical frame members define, on an outwardly disposed surface thereof, a plurality of vertical recesses and projections. The joints between the plurality of structural insulated panels are butyl-free and include butyl-free compressible seals disposed between opposing recesses and projections in adjoining structural insulated panels. Insulation is disposed within the structural insulated panels and within at least a portion of at least one structural insulated panel vertical frame member.

A plurality of ducts include lengthwise ducts and end ducts, which are retained in the wall air barrier insulation layer to channel air.

Holes are dilled on the grid-reinforced insulation boards (3), and the grid-reinforced insulation boards (3) are directly fixed on the base course wall with the plastic expansion anchor bolts (4), in such a manner that all load of an external insulation system is born by the plastic expansion anchor bolts (4), and the plastic expansion anchor bolts (4) transmits the load to the base course wall (1). The external insulation wall can solve technical problems of low bearing capacity and difficult surface treatment caused by an old base course wall.
