摘要: A method of extruding two or more closure elements onto a web includes extruding the closure elements through a die plate having a first aperture for a first closure element and a second aperture for a second closure element. The first aperture is spaced from and at least partially overlaps the second aperture in a lateral direction. The partial overlapping of the apertures allows the closure elements to be spaced very closely together on the web. The space between the apertures prevents extrudate streams forming the elements from bonding to each other. The closely spaced elements are extruded through the same die plate without an interconnecting portion therebetween.

摘要: A bathliner forming machine that forms bathliners for conventional bathtubs in use today. The bathliner forming machine comprises a bathtub mold, a skirt mold, a conveyance means, a liner sheet, and an oven. The conveyance means comprises a clamping frame for securing and retaining the liner sheet and a rolling frame for moving the clamping frame into and out of the heating machine. The clamping frame is also uniquely designed to bend the heated, malleable liner sheet over the skirt mold for creating the bathtub and skirt sections that form a completed bathliner. The oven is utilized to heat the liner sheet until it is malleable enough so that it can be formed over the bathtub mold and the skirt mold.

摘要: The invention provides a molding die in which a whole or a part of an exclusive portion forming a cavity can be swiftly changed while leaving a general portion in a molding machine. A fixed insert, a movable insert, a pressing plate and a slide core which correspond to an exclusive portion can be automatically attached to and detached from a fixed main die, a movable main die, a pressing rod and a slide holder which correspond to a general portion by an attaching and detaching mechanism. Further, the fixed insert, the movable insert, the pressing plate and the slide core can be integrated in a die close state by a connection mechanism. By utilizing cross-feed means of a die changing apparatus and a die opening and closing motion on a molding machine side, the exclusive portion is automatically removed from the general portion in a form of an assembly, and the exclusive portion assembly which is transferred into the molding machine from outside the molding machine is automatically mounted to the general portion.

摘要: Laminates of thermoplastic films and nonwoven fibrous webs are made at high speeds on the order of about 700 fpm to about 1200 fpm. Bond strengths of film and nonwoven laminates are effectively controlled to make breathable laminates at high speeds. Air cooling devices cause the air to flow substantially parallel to the extruded plastic web during drawdown and provide a plurality of cooling air vortices to effectively cool the web. Film gauge control is also achieved by the method.

摘要: An eyeglass lens forming composition containing light absorbing compounds which may undergo light initiated polymerization is provided. Typically, lens forming compositions that absorb light do not permit enough activating radiation to penetrate into the depths of the lens cavity to adequately initiate polymerization of the lens forming composition. An embodiment of the invention provides a system and method for curing such a lens forming composition to form a lens that does not transmit ultraviolet light. Activating light is used having a wavelength greater than the wavelengths of light which the light absorbing compounds absorb. The power of the formed lenses may be controlled by varying the lens forming conditions. Additionally, the lens forming process may be controlled using a microprocessor based control system.

摘要: A molded disc substrate obtained by injection molding is rotated at high speed before the molded disc substrate has solidified, and a gas is also made to flow in an outward radial direction along a bottom surface of the molded disc substrate while the molded disc substrate is rotating, and the rotation is stopped after the molded disc substrate has solidified. Thus, a disc substrate with little warping is obtained in a short time.

摘要: When the loading device or the unloading device is transferred, a procedure for separating the attaching/detaching-side rim mold to separate both the rim molds is eliminated, and the loading procedure and unloading procedure are simplified correspondingly, and the operation efficiency is enhanced. The present invention provides a tire grasping device of a PCI device in which a stroke amount when separating or coupling the attaching/detaching-side rim mold from and to the body-side rim mold is reduced to such a degree that the grasped tire does not interfere with the body-side rim mold and thus, the device is reduced in size.A post-vulcanization inflating device comprises a body-side rim mold 2 and an attaching/detaching-side rim mold 3. Both the rim molds are formed with bead receiving surfaces 21, 31 opposed to an outer surface of a bead portion of a post-vulcanized tire T1, the post-vulcanized tire is cooled and its shape is stabilized in a state in which the post-vulcanized tire is held between the bead receiving surfaces. The attaching/detaching-side rim mold is provided with an engaging pawl 40 for detachably grasping the bead portion of the tire.
