Abstract: The invention relates to a device (1) for melting a hot-melt adhesive (3), comprising a heating plate (5), a plunger (7), the plunger (7) comprising a plunger end face (9), and a mounting (11), wherein the mounting (11) is suitable for receiving a storage container (13), which has a rigid lateral wall (15) and two opposite side faces (17, 19) and contains the hot-melt adhesive (3), in such a manner that the hot-melt adhesive (3) is arranged between the plunger (7) and the to heating plate (5), and the plunger end face (9) and the heating plate (5) are arranged opposite one another, wherein the heating plate (5), the plunger (7) and the mounting (11) are so dimensioned that the storage container (13) having an inner volume (21) of more than 50 L can be received. The invention relates further to a method for melting a hot-melt adhesive.

Abstract: A dispenser for dispensing a liquid onto a substrate is disclosed. The dispenser includes a liquid supply and a dispenser module. The dispenser module includes a nozzle body having an inlet, an outlet, and a chamber for receiving the liquid. The dispenser module also includes a central valve body attached to the nozzle body that defines a piston chamber and a valve member having a piston portion disposed within the piston chamber of the central valve body and a needle portion extending form the piston portion into the chamber of the nozzle body. The dispenser further includes a heater block for heating the nozzle body. The heater block defines a liquid passage for transporting liquid from the liquid supply to the dispenser, a first surface of the heater block directly contacts the nozzle body, and the entirety of the central valve body is spaced from the heater block.

Abstract: A melter for preparing a molten medium, in particular for preparing a molten adhesive, has a melting tank that has a melting chamber for receiving and melting a medium to be melted. The melter has a heating device for heating the melting chamber. The melting chamber has an upper chamber section and a lower chamber section. The melting tank has a dispensing opening that can be fluidly connected to a delivery device for delivering the molten medium. The melting tank further has a drain opening. The dispensing opening and the drain opening open into the lower chamber section. The melter further has a closure body for closing the drain opening. In a closed position, the closure body closes the drain opening and an end section of the closure body projects into the lower chamber section.
