    摘要: A motorized drum (03000) has a drum shell (03700) with a motor (04200) there within and an end lid (03570) of a determined diameter with an end lid recess (46920). An end lid remover tool (46940) has an outer circumferential geometry with a larger diameter and a tool recess (46930). The tool recess complements the end lid recess. A joining cord (46910) has a cross-sectional geometry that corresponds to the combination of the end lid recess and the tool recess. An inlet enables access to the channel, and a flexible member (46910) is installed therethrough to occupy the channel. A slide hammer (46950) applies an axially outward force whereby the end lid is urged axially outward in response to outward force conveyed to the end lid arrangement via the flexible member. The remover tool can have alternatively a circumferential spiral geometry that is configured to engage an outer circumferential spiral geometry of the end lid.

    摘要: A rotary milling system includes a rotatable cylinder, a discharge grate, a discharge housing surrounding the grate, a valve moveable between an open and closed position being in fluid communication with the discharge housing, and a conveying pipe extending from the valve. The cylinder can include grinding media for abrading a product when the cylinder is rotated. The product is suspended and ground within a liquid medium. Upon conclusion of the milling, the valve is opened to allow the liquid medium and milled product to pass through the discharge housing and the conveying pipe. The liquid medium can flow back and forth through the grate during the milling operation, with the valve preventing discharge before conclusion. A liquid-drawing apparatus can be used to draw the milled product through the conveying pipe into a separator tank after opening the valve.

    摘要: A motorized drum has a drum shell, and a motor and a cycloidal reducer, are disposed inside. An output of the reducer rotates slower than the motor, and a hollow input shaft accommodates miscellaneous components. The hollow input shaft has an eccentric raceway that engages an input gear of the cycloidal reducer, and urges it into eccentric motion. The cycloidal reducer has an internal toothed output ring gear that is rotationally affixed to the drum shell for transmitting rotary power thereto. A fixed shaft is coupled to a guide pin housing that constitutes a fixed reference point of the cyclo reducer. A torque coupler has orthogonally placed driving face pairs that couple the guide pin housing to the fixed shaft. The hollow input shaft has plural axially protruding driven tabs for receiving an input torque from the motor rotor. A coupler has orthogonally arranged driven face pairs for coupling the hollow input shaft to the motor rotor.

    摘要: According to one embodiment, a ball mill for working generally spherically shaped target particles into a flake-shaped end product is provided. The ball mill includes a milling tube, one or more milling balls disposed within the milling tube, and a vibration source that is positioned and adapted to move the milling tube such that its central axis follows along a substantially circular path. The continuously changing direction of the acceleration of the milling tube results in each of the milling balls following a respective, substantially orbital path about the milling tube's central axis. As the milling balls follow the respective, orbital paths, the milling balls come into contact with and transform the target particles into flakes. In a further embodiment, the ball mill may further include a virtual particle separator configured to route intermediate particles back to an inlet portion of the milling tube for additional processing time.

    摘要: An improved lifter and a method of repairing a damaged lifter employed in a rotary drum debarker of the type which removes the bark of logs by introducing logs into a rotating drum wherein the the logs tumble and flail against one another so that the bark is removed by the tumbling and rubbing action of one log against another. A plurality of lifters are arranged around the interior surface of the drum so that the point or vertex of the lifter is facing toward the axis of rotation of the drum. The lifters are provided with cleats on the vertex of the lifter in the direction of rotation of the drum to protect the lifter from excessive wear. In addition the cleat lifts the logs higher in the drum which improves the tumbling action. Damaged lifters may be repaired by the addition of the cleat to the vertex of the lifter.

    摘要: A system for recovering ferrous metal components from waste materials includes a first magnetic separator for magnetically separating ferrous metal components from waste material and an impacting device for dislodging residual waste material from the surface of ferrous metal components separated by the first magnetic separator. The system may also include a second magnetic separator following the impacting device, a water washing system for cleaning ferrous metal components retained by the second magnetic separator, a ferrous metal collection station, a waste material collection station and conveyors for conveying the various unseparated and separated materials throughout the system. The impacting device includes a solid wall rotatable drum having at least one radially inwardly projecting protruberance on its interior surface. As the drum rotates, the protruberances lift the ferrous materials separated by the first magnetic separator. When the protruberances reach a sufficient elevation and angular orientation within the drum, the ferrous metal components and residual waste material clinging thereto drop under the influence of gravity and impact against the interior surface of the drum. The repeated impacts of the ferrous material with the interior surface of the drum effectively dislodges waste material from the surface of the ferrous metal components without comminuting the ferrous material or subjecting the drum to aggressive wear and tear.
