    摘要: An image processing apparatus which may include a grayscale modulator forming a ΔΣ modulator. The modulator may include an adder that adds the pixel value of an image and an output of a feedback arithmetic unit, a quantizing unit that quantizes an output of the adder and outputs a quantized value including a quantization error as the result of ΔΣ modulation, a subtractor that calculates the quantization error, and the feedback arithmetic unit that filters the quantization error and outputs the filtering result to the adder. The filter coefficient of filtering by the feedback arithmetic unit may be determined such that the amplitude characteristics of noise shaping by the ΔΣ modulator in a frequency band that is equal to or more than an intermediate frequency band are the inverse characteristics of the spatial frequency characteristics of the human eye.

    摘要: In a display device in which one frame is divided into a plurality of subframes and a gray scale is expressed by a time gray scale method, there is a problem of pseudo contour. A gray scale is expressed by sequentially adding a weight of each subframe (light emission period, light emission time, and the like). Further, an erasing diode is provided in a pixel. By turning this erasing diode on, the signal stored in the pixel is erased, thereby a non-light emission period is provided. Accordingly, subframes with different light emission periods can be easily formed.

    摘要: The present disclosure relates to the use of inverse dithering of color or grey-scale images. In certain embodiments, an image area may be selected having a center pixel. A predictive value of the image area may be found by averaging the values of the pixels in the image area. This predictive value may be compared to the center pixel's real value. A difference between the real value and the predictive value may then be found and used to diffuse the energy removed from the center pixel to neighboring pixels. By inverse dithering images using an energy diffusion approach, the images may be presented as having a more visually appealing display, even in situations where the images may undergo further edge enhancements.

    摘要: Systems and methods are disclosed to enable the creation and the display of dithered images. Embodiments include techniques that use the relationship between the luminance and the color of a source image as a dithering heuristic. In one embodiment, the luminance and the color of a source image is determined. Each color of the source image is approximated to the nearest hardware color level. The hardware color level is then varied to more closely approximate the luminance of the source image. Any color errors introduced by approximating the luminance of the source image are then diffused to adjacent pixels.
