    摘要: A stretch matenal consists essentially of a thermoplastic polymer matstial that meets the following couditions: (i) the thermoplastic polymer material contains: (a) 100 parts by weight of a hydrogenated block copolymer having a number average molecular weight of 50,000 to 140,000 and comprising am least two polymer blocks (A) composed mainly of a vinyl aromatic compound and at least one hydrogenated polymer block (B) composed mainly of a conjugated diene compound; (b) 0 to 120 parts by weight of a non-aromatic rubber softening agent; (c) 0 to 80 parts by weight of polyethylene that has an MFR of 15 g/10 min or above when measured at 190° C. wider a load of 2.16 kg; and (d) 0 to 40 parts by weight of polystyrene that has an MFR of 5 g/10 min or above when measured at 200° C. under a load of 5.00 kg.

    摘要: The present invention provides a process for the hydrogenation of a polymer under supercritical conditions. A reaction mixture of hydrogen, at least one polymer, at least one hydrogenation catalyst, and appropriate solvent(s) for the at least one polymer and catalyst is provided and is pressurized and heated to meet or exceed a determined critical pressure and determined critical temperature for the reaction mixture. The hydrogenation occurs under these supercritical conditions, thereby overcoming the hydrogen solubility and mass transfer problems typically encountered in hydrogenation methods at subcritical conditions, wherein hydrogen must be pressurized into solvent to reach the polymer.

    摘要: Lactam polymers has been modified with sodium borohydride (NaBH4) to yield lactam polymers bearing hydroxyl functional groups. These functional groups are useful for the covalent attachment of reactive groups, fluorescent probes, antimicrobial agents, bioactive factors, and drugs. The resulting as components for medical devices, specifically ophthalmic devices and more specifically contact lenses. Hydrogels based on these polymers are also useful for biomedical applications in the areas of drug delivery, tissue engineering, and implantable devices.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a process for producing a petroleum resin which comprises subjecting a cyclopentadiene based compound and a vinyl-substituted aromatic compound substantially free from a high molecular weight substance to copolymerization reaction in the presence of a solvent. According to the present invention, it is made possible thereby to obtain a petroleum resin and a hydrogenated petroleum resin which are each minimized in the amounts of high molecular weight substances and which have each narrow molecular weight distribution.
