摘要: Position and orientation of a stylus with respect to a sensing surface of a host electronic device are provided by sensing first and second electromagnetic fields at a sensing surface, the first and second electromagnetic fields varying in strength in response to stylus orientation, and determining the orientation from a difference in sensed field strength between the first and second electromagnetic fields. The first and second electromagnetic fields may be produced by proximal and distal electromagnetic transmitters of the stylus. The orientation may be used, for example, to control the response of a computer drawing application executed on the host electronic device.

摘要: A manufacturing method forms components having a desired shape. A contoured surface is defined for a forming tool for forming a metal blank into the desired shape, wherein respective portions of the metal blank flow over the contoured surface during forming. An intrinsic material flow pattern resulting from the contoured surface is compared to a desired flow in order to identify regions of the contoured surface having an insufficient flow that creates areas in the formed metal blank receiving less than a desired amount of metal. A surface microtexture is applied onto the contoured surface in a pattern selected to increase metal flow along the identified regions by providing a friction in the identified regions that is reduced relative to adjacent regions of the contoured surface.

摘要: A mobile device comprising a processor, a camera module, and a flash configured to generate at least one of a reduced pre-flash, a standard pre-flash and a flash. The processor, in response to receiving an image capture request, is configured to receive a brightness value and determine a flash status based on a flash setting with the flash status being one of an off mode, on mode, and auto mode. In the event the flash status is one of the on mode and auto mode, determine whether there is sufficient light to capture an image based at least in part on a comparison of the brightness value and a flash threshold. In the event the brightness value is greater than the flash threshold, cause the flash to generate a shortened pre-flash and obtain only a white balance measurement and an auto-exposure measurement during the shortened pre-flash.

摘要: The present disclosure introduces a method and an apparatus of shrinking virtual hard disk image file. The present techniques search a garbage data block in a file and revise a record of the garbage data block in a block allocation table (BAT). The file includes one or more data blocks and a BAT that records information of each data block. The garbage data block is a data block that does not store effective data. The present techniques move an effective data block subsequent to the garbage data block, revise a record of the effective data block in the BAT after the moving, and shrink a size of the file after the movement.
