    Abstract: A wireless communication system, apparatus, and methodology are described for enabling wireless communication station (STA) devices to generate a Physical Layer Protocol Data Unit (PPDU) that includes a resource unit (RU) having a size that is less than a spreading frequency block by using one or more predetermined pilot and/or data tone mapping plans to control how each pilot/data tone from the RU is distributed onto a disjoint set of pilot/data subcarriers forming a distributed RU included in the spreading frequency block, thereby accommodating transmission of wider bandwidth and multiple resource unit assignments in accordance with power spectrum density (PSD) limits provided for orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) modulated symbols supported by emerging 802.11 standards.

    Abstract: A first device transmits to a second device a first data unit which indicates a maximum number of long training field (LTF) symbols that the first device transmits and receives for a multiple input multiple output communication. The first device receives, from the second device, a second data unit which comprises a plurality of LTF symbols up to the maximum number of LTF symbols the first device receives indicated by the first data unit. A channel estimation is performed based on the plurality of LTF symbols of the second data unit up to the maximum number of LTF symbols indicated by the first data unit to recover information in one or more fields of the second data unit. For the case when the second data unit is a trigger frame, the first device generates the third data unit with a plurality of LTF symbols up to the maximum number of LTF symbols the first device transmits indicated by the first data unit and transmits the third data unit.

    Abstract: Wireless communications comprises generating a trigger frame which has a first set of bits which directly indicates a resource unit (RU) arranged as a distributed RU is solicited to be transmitted in an uplink direction in a first frequency block and a second set of bits which directly indicates for one or more second frequency subblocks a spreading bandwidth of tones of the distributed RU or whether a second frequency subblock is a punctured subchannel. An access point (AP) transmits the trigger frame in a downlink direction to a non-AP station. The non-AP station generates and transmits in the uplink direction a Physical Layer Protocol Data Unit (PPDU) to the AP station with data modulated on the tones of the distributed RU based on the first set of bits and the second set of bits of the trigger frame.

    Abstract: Certain specific examples are directed to or involve a plurality of vehicular communication stations including a first type and a second type which communicate over a shared communications channel characterized by a common RF frequency band.     Abstract: In an IEEE 802.11bc wireless system, aggregated data frames are communicated between first and second STA devices by configuring the first STA device to assemble and transmit an A-MPDU frame having multiple A-MPDU subframes characterized by a fixed MPDU start spacing parameter and a fixed maximal MPDU length parameter, where the first STA device is configured with the fixed MPDU start spacing parameter and the fixed maximal MPDU length parameter without negotiating association request and response messages, and by configuring the second STA device to assemble and transmit a BA message comprising a BA bitmap identifying the one or more of the multiple A-MPDU subframes which are not successfully received by the second STA device, where the BA bitmap has a size characterized by a fixed buffer size parameter which is configured at the second STA device without negotiating add BA request (ADDBA Request) request and response messages.
