Abstract:
A computer communication system that allows a user to conveniently display the most recent received messages associated with another user, and to directly initiate composition of a reply to a selected one of those displayed messages. When the user selects the disclosed “Reply to Most Recent” user interface element, a user name entry user interface object is generated that allows the user to specify the name of another user. A reply message user interface object is generated directly to the user interface, such that the reply message user interface object includes a message composition window that is automatically loaded with content from a most recent message from the specified user, and recipients for the reply message are loaded from that most recent message.
Abstract:
A plurality of word groups that satisfy at least one criterion, each word group comprising at least one word, can be identified in an electronic message. For each word group that satisfies the at least one criterion, at least a first image corresponding to a meaning of the word group can be automatically selected from a plurality of images. Each image selected for each respective word group that satisfies the at least one criterion can be presented with the electronic message.
Abstract:
Disclosed aspects include alerting a user of an indicated impact of a command using a weight for the command. Using a set of command data which indicates an impact of a first command, a first weight for the first command is established. By monitoring a user, a predicted execution of the first command is detected. By comparing the first weight with a threshold weight, a determination is made to provide an alert to the user. In response to making the determination, the alert is provided to the user.
Abstract:
A computer implemented method and system for delegating authority on an online account includes monitoring a user of a plurality of users using an online social network on a communications system. A designated user for an originating user from the plurality of users is assigned, responsive to the originating user of the plurality of user's selection of the designated user. The designated user is activated, responsive to determining an absence of access of the originating user on the online social network. A delegation action is presented to the designated user, and the delegation action is performed on behalf of the originating user, responsive to the designated user's selection of the delegation action.
Abstract:
A content subject matter area of interest to a user is determined, using eye-gaze analysis of a user viewing existing activity stream content, according to content at a content location viewed by the user within the existing activity stream content. User-specific activity stream content augmentations are configured that are applicable to new activity stream content viewed by the user that includes the content subject matter area of interest to the user determined from the eye-gaze analysis. Using the configured user-specific activity stream content augmentations, portions of the new activity stream content viewed by the user determined to include the content subject matter area of interest to the user are augmented.
Abstract:
In response to detecting a file upload request of a file to storage within a file repository, at least one filename metadata token is identified that includes a subset of characters of a filename of the file and that is mapped in association with the file repository using the subset of characters to at least one repository upload processing action of the file repository. Each mapped repository upload processing action, identified using the subset of characters of each of the at least one filename metadata token, is executed in association with the file upload request of the file to the storage within the file repository.
Abstract:
In response to detecting a file upload request of a file to a file repository, at least one filename metadata token that includes a subset of characters of a filename of the file is inferred using text analysis techniques. At least one inferred filename metadata token is extracted from the characters of the filename of the file, and is mapped to at least one repository upload processing action. The at least one repository upload processing action is executed in association with the file upload request of the file to the file repository.
Abstract:
An approach is provided for an information handling system that includes a processor and a memory to analyze documents. In the approach, an electronic document is received with the document including content, such as text, and revision metadata that is associated with the content. The revision metadata is analyzed and the approach identifies a confidence level based on the analysis. The confidence level is associated with the electronic document content. The confidence level can then be utilized by a Question and Answer (QA) system.
Abstract:
A method for generating a graph segment providing a gist or summary of an online social network conversation may include generating a graph of the online social network conversation. The graph of the online social network conversation may include a plurality of nodes and each node may be connected to at least one other node by an edge. Each node may represent a message of the online social network conversation and each edge may correspond to an action by a participant in the online social network conversation. The method may also include determining an edge weight for each edge and analyzing the graph of the online social network conversation using at least the edge weight of at least some edges. The method may additionally include generating a graph segment that provides a gist or summary of the online social network conversation based on the analysis.
Abstract:
Multiple social network postings that originate from a single social network user are detected within a social network. The multiple social network postings that originate from the single social network user are analyzed using configured posting relationship identification criteria. Based upon the analysis of the multiple social network postings that originate from the single social network user using the configured posting relationship identification criteria, a determination is made that at least two of the multiple social network postings that originate from the single social network user include related content. The content of the at least two social network postings determined to include the related content is concatenated into a single consolidated social network post.
