Disclosed herein is an ink cartridge refill system for inkjet printers and a method of refilling ink cartridges using the system. The refill system includes a vacuum pump to supply ink from an ink tank into a cylinder and to forcibly draw ink from an ink cartridge, as well as an air compression pump to generate a compression force to inject ink from the cylinder into the ink cartridge through the nozzle of the cartridge. The cylinder is connected at the inlet end thereof to both the air compression pump and the vacuum pump, and is connected at the outlet end to both the ink tank and the ink cartridge. Both a compression pump line and a first vacuum pump line which pass through the cylinder are connected to the nozzle of the cartridge through an ink supply hose. The vacuum pump includes a second vacuum pump line directly connected to the ink cartridge, as is the first vacuum pump line passing through the cylinder. Both the ink supply hose and the second vacuum pump line are connected to the nozzle of the cartridge through a connection unit. The refill system can regulate the inner pressure of a refilled cartridge by removing predetermined small amounts of air and ink from the refilled cartridge, and can completely remove waste ink from the cartridge at the initial stage of a cartridge refill process when necessary.

The present invention provides fluoropolymer laminates having isotropic properties. For example, an embodiment in which multiple fluoropolymer sheets having an liquid crystalline polymer oriented in the fibrous state in the melt processible fluoropolymer are laminated, despite having the fibrous LCP oriented in one direction in each single extruded sheet, makes it possible to laminate in such a way as to compensate for their orientation directions, the laminate thereby becoming isotropic as regards physical properties. The laminates also have low linear coefficient of expansion and low thermal shrinkage as well as elevated tensile modulus and low dielectric constant.

The present invention relates to novel phytase enzyme, a gene coding the enzyme, and a Citrobacter sp. producing the enzyme. Particularly, the present invention relates to the phytase enzyme produced from Citrobacter sp. having (a) molecular weight of 47 kDa, (b) optimal pH of 3.5-4.5, (c) optimal temperature of 45-55° C., (d) as substrates phytate, p-nitrophenyl phosphate, tetrasodium pyrophosphate, ATP or ADP, (e) Michaelis constant of 0.3-0.5 mM utilizing phytate as substrate, and (f) high resistance to protease such as pepsin, trypsin, papain, elastase or pancreatin. The present invention also relates to the gene coding the phytase enzyme and the Citrobacter braakii producing the enzyme. The phytase enzyme and the Citrobacter braakii producing the enzyme of the present invention can be used in manufacturing a feed of monogastrics as feed additive and in recovering a specific decomposition product of phytate at low price.

A first conductive layer, an etch-stop layer made of conductive material and a second conductive layer are formed one atop another in their order on the piezoelectric ceramic substrate. A mask is provided on a first portion of the second conductive layer corresponding to a first SAW filter region. A second portion of the second conductive layer corresponding to a second SAW filter region is selectively removed by using the mask. The mask is removed and a photoresist pattern in use for forming electrodes of the first and second SAW filters is provided on the first portion of the second conductive layer corresponding to the first SAW filter region and on a first portion of the etch-stop layer corresponding to the second SAW filter region. The first and second conductive layers and the etch-stop layer are selectively removed by using the photoresist pattern, and the photoresist pattern is removed.
