Electrophoretic particles and dielectrophoretic particles are included together in a unit pixel. Each of the electrophoretic particles and the dielectrophoretic particles includes two kinds of particles having different electric properties. The electrophoretic particles include positively charged particles and negatively charged particles. The dielectrophoretic particles include particles having low dielectric constant and particles having high dielectric constant. A first electric field for moving the electrophoretic particles and a second electric field for moving the dielectrophoretic particles are applied to the unit pixel. The second electric field has an asymmetric gradient in the direction where the dielectrophoretic particles move to determine movement directions of the dielectrophoretic particles having different dielectric constants.

Carbon nanotubes have an R value of at least 1.3, where R is defined as the ratio (ID/IG) of an integral value of D band intensity (ID) to an integral value of G band intensity (IG) in the Raman spectrum. Such carbon nanotubes can be used to form a support catalyst with good catalyst activity because the surface defects on the carbon nanotubes promote improved catalyst distribution in that the support catalyst includes catalyst particles having a small mean particle size and a slight variation in particle size. Such a support catalyst has particularly useful properties when used as a catalyst layer for a fuel cell electrode.

Provided are a method for preparing metallic nickel powders capable of decreasing the content of an alkaline metal in the metallic nickel powders, metallic nickel powders with the low content of an alkaline metal, a conductive paste including metallic nickel powders with the low content of an alkaline metal, and a multi-layer ceramic capacitor (MLCC) including a nickel inner electrode with the low content of an alkaline metal. The method for preparing the metallic nickel powders includes heating a mixture including an organic base, a nickel precursor compound, and a polyol. Wherein, the nickel precursor compound is converted to the metallic nickel powders through reduction by the organic base and the polyol. In the method, the organic base is used instead of the hydroxide of an alkaline metal such as NaOH and KOH. Therefore, the content of an alkaline metal such as sodium and potassium that can be incorporated as an impurity into the metallic nickel powders can be significantly reduced.
