According to certain aspects, a technique for scaling transmission power may include scaling transmission power of one or more uplink channel symbols to be transmitted in a subframe, utilizing a first set of one or more scaling coefficients, scaling transmission power of one or more sounding reference signal (SRS) symbols to be transmitted in the same subframe, utilizing a second set of one or more scaling coefficients, wherein the first set of scaling coefficients is different from the second set of scaling coefficients, and transmitting the scaled one or more uplink channel symbols and the scaled one or more SRS symbols utilizing the scaled transmission power values.

    摘要: Methods and apparatuses are provided for determining cyclic shift (CS) values and/or orthogonal cover codes (OCC) for a plurality of demodulation reference signals (DM-RS) transmitted over multiple layers in multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) communications. A CS index can be received from a base station in downlink control information (DCI) or similar signaling. Based at least in part on the CS index, CS values for the plurality of DM-RSs can be determined. In addition, OCC can be explicitly signaled or similarly determined from the CS index and/or a configured CS value received from a higher layer. In addition, controlling assignment of CS indices and/or OCC can facilitate providing orthogonality for communications from paired devices in multiuser MIMO.

    摘要: A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided in which resource elements compatible with multiple different communication protocols, which may not be compatible with one another, may be mapped to a radio frame. For example, in an LTE network, equipment configured to be compatible with 3GPP release 8 standards (herein referred to as Rel. 8) may have certain limitations as to what bandwidth is available for use and access, while these limitations may not apply to later releases of LTE standards after Rel. 8 (herein referred to as “New”). Thus, a system bandwidth can be extended to include an extension portion, to which resource elements compatible with the New protocol may be mapped, and a non-extension portion, to which resource elements compatible with either Rel. 8 or the New protocol may be mapped, providing an effective multiplexing of system resources.

    摘要: Systems and methodologies are described that facilitate employing flexible signaling of resource block assignments on a control channel. Resource blocks associated with an uplink or downlink channel can be split into a plurality of groups, and group-specific signaling constraints can be utilized with each of these groups. For example, the group-specific signaling constraints can relate to minimum resource block allocation units, signaling structures (e.g., bitmap structure, contiguous allocation structure, tree-based structure, . . . ), and the like utilized for sending assignment indications that allocate resource blocks within the respective groups. Further, an access terminal can have a common understanding of the group-specific signaling constraints; thus, a received assignment indication can be deciphered by the access terminal by utilizing the group-specific signaling constraints.

    摘要: Techniques for supporting fallback operation in a multi-carrier communication system are described. In one aspect, a UE may determine at least one first downlink control information (DCI) format to monitor on a first carrier. The UE may monitor for the first DCI format(s) on the first carrier to detect DCI sent to the UE. The UE may receive a reconfiguration message related to communication on a plurality of carriers by the UE with cross-carrier signaling, and may determine at least one second DCI format to monitor on the first carrier based on the reconfiguration message. The UE may monitor for the first DCI format(s) and the second DCI format(s) on the first carrier after receiving the reconfiguration message.
