Abstract:
The present disclosure discloses a composite crossarm and a power transmission tower. The composite crossarm includes a post insulator and three suspension insulators. The post insulator and the suspension insulators each has an end configured to be connected to a tower body of the power transmission tower, and another end connected together to form an end of the composite crossarm that is configured to attach a transmission line. The three suspension insulators are arranged at intervals around the post insulator. Axes of two suspension insulators and an axis of the post insulator are in the same plane. The two suspension insulators whose axes are in the same plane as the axis of the post insulator are defined as first suspension insulators, the remaining suspension insulator is defined as a second suspension insulator. The two first suspension insulators form an angle ranged from 45° to 90°.
Abstract:
A bus bar assembly includes a nonconductive terminal cap configured to at least partially surround an electrically conductive terminal. The terminal cap has a perimeter wall configured to circumscribe at least a portion of the terminal to provide a gap configured to expose the terminal. The terminal cap includes a first attachment feature. The bus bar assembly also includes a bus bar having an end configured to mechanically and electrically engage the terminal in an assembled condition and a nonconductive shroud enclosing the bus bar. The shroud includes a second attachment feature configured to removably engage the first attachment feature in the assembled condition to secure the shroud to the terminal cap. A method of electrically connecting cells of a battery is also provided.
Abstract:
A support system for supporting power distribution or transmission lines includes a support pole having a first end and a second and a crossarm attached to the support pole, proximate the first end of the support pole. The crossarm has a first end, a second end and one or more side walls extending between the first and second ends of the crossarm. The side walls of the crossarm define an elongated interior space. The support system further includes an internal conduit formed in the interior space of the crossarm. The internal conduit extends along an axial direction of the crossarm. The internal conduit is made from insulative material.
Abstract:
A surge arrester (100) and a method for manufacturing the surge arrester (100), the surge arrester (100) comprises a preassembled active part (110) extending in a longitudinal direction (Y), and a separately produced flexible housing (120) defining a bore (121) in the longitudinal direction (Y) and having an opening at an end surface (126) of the flexible housing (120), the flexible housing (120) is arranged surrounding the active part (110) via the bore (121) and in contact with the active part (110), the contact causes a deformation of the flexible housing (120) in a circumferential direction (C), and the deformation generates a pressure applied on the active part (110) along a radial direction (R).
Abstract:
An insulating support includes a pillar-shaped portion made of resin, a metal insert buried in one end surface of the pillar-shaped portion in an axial direction, a metal insert buried in the other end surface of the pillar-shaped portion in the axial direction, and one protrusion made of the resin and provided in a ring shape and integrally with the pillar-shaped portion on an outer circumferential surface of the pillar-shaped portion on a side of the metal insert. The metal insert includes a first cylindrical base portion and a first distal end portion. The metal insert includes a second cylindrical base portion and a second distal end portion. A whole of the first distal end portion is disposed within an extended range of the protrusion in the axial direction.
Abstract:
An electric fence coupler assembly includes an insulator that may be removably coupled to a fence post. The insulator may engage an electric fence thereby facilitating the electric fence to be retained on the fence post. The insulator is comprised of a resiliently bendable material. Thus, the insulator frictionally engages the fence post thereby facilitating the insulator to be removably retained on the fence post. A pair of clips is coupled to the insulator and each of the clips engages the electric fence.
Abstract:
A spacer assembly includes a first clamping body having first and second ends and first and second protrusions extending from the first and second ends, respectively. A second clamping body has third and fourth ends and third and fourth protrusions extending from the third and fourth ends, respectively. A first gripping member disposed between the first and third ends has first and second openings for receiving the first and third protrusions, respectively, such that the first and third protrusions pass completely through the first and second openings to contact a first conductor received by the first gripping member. A second gripping member disposed between the second and fourth ends has third and fourth openings for receiving the second and fourth protrusions, respectively, such that the second and fourth protrusions pass completely through the third and fourth openings to contact a second conductor received by the second gripping member.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein are an insulating base plated with a metal layer, a plating method thereof, and a transparent electrode including the insulating base. During the manufacture of a polymer layer, a structure of an interface layer between a surface of the polymer layer and a metal layer is modified, adhesion with metal is excellent and the polishability of the interface layer is reduced, and thus, the reflectivity of the metal layer is reduced and particular color impression of metal is reduced to obtain black-oxide treated properties. When the metal layer formed on the insulating base is used in a mesh-type transparent electrode having a fine pattern, sufficient adhesion with metal for forming a pattern is obtained and the reflectivity of an adhesion layer of the metal layer is reduced, thereby increasing the visibility. Accordingly, the insulating base may be suitable for products such as transparent electrodes or touch panels.
Abstract:
A guard for protecting wire along an interface between first and second portions of ground includes a base that extends along a centerline from a first end to a second end. The base includes a first surface for engaging the first ground portion and a second surface for engaging the second ground portion. A slot extends from the first end towards the second end for receiving the wire such that the second end of the base protects the wire from impact.
Abstract:
A pole assembly for a three phase breaker includes a center pole and a pair of outer poles positioned on opposed sides of the center pole. A pair of brackets are positioned at opposed ends of the pole, and include a center groove and a pair of outer grooves. The center pole is positioned in the center groove. The outer poles are secured in the outer groove in a shipping configuration and an installed configuration. When in the shipping configuration the bushings of all the poles are parallel. When in the installed configuration the bushings of the outer poles are angled away from the bushings of the center pole.
