Abstract:
A food kit may include a food item, a shaped food seasoning product, and a container. In some examples, the shaped food seasoning product defines a three-dimensional shape and includes a binder material binding the shaped food seasoning product together to define the three-dimensional shape and seasoning. The seasoning may form greater than 20 weight percent of the shaped food seasoning product. The container may enclose the food item and the shaped food seasoning product so that the food item and the shaped food seasoning product are contained inside the container. During use, a consumer may transfer the contents of the food kit to a cooking container and add liquid to the container, causing the shaped food seasoning product to dissolve and release the seasoning bound in the seasoning product.
Abstract:
Disclosed are disposable containers, such as a stand-up pouch, for heating food in a microwave oven and while automatically dispensing sauce onto the food. Methods and apparatuses for making sauce packets and disposable containers are also disclosed.
Abstract:

The cooking appliance may include a housing including a container mount, a first container having a space to accommodate a liquid therein, the first container being configured to be coupled with the container mount, a heater that heats the liquid accommodated in the first container, a cover rotatably installed on the housing to cover or open the first container.
Abstract:
A low-temperature vacuum cooking device and a cooking appliance including low-temperature vacuum cooking device are provided. The cooking appliance may include a housing including a container mount and a vacuum-packing module mount provided adjacent to each other, a first container having a space to accommodate a liquid therein, the first container being configured to be coupled with the container mount, a heater that heats the liquid accommodated in the first container, a vacuum pressure generator installed on the vacuum-packing module mount to suction air inside a food packing bag, a sealer installed adjacent to the vacuum pressure generator that heats the food packing bag in order to seal it, a cover rotatably installed on the housing to cover or open the first container and the vacuum pressure generator, and a high-temperature cooking unit including a top plate and a high-temperature heater provided at a lower portion of the top plate.
Abstract:
In a method for manufacturing a seasoning bag, an edible adhesive is applied to a panel of a bag, and a granular seasoning is applied to the panel of the bag such that the granular seasoning adheres to the edible adhesive pattern to produce a seasoning layer. The granular seasoning forms air channels when the panel of the bag is vacuum sealed against a foodstuff inserted into the seasoning bag, to assist in egress of air from the bag during the vacuum sealing process.
Abstract:
The present invention is a method of preparing an individually portioned, shelf-stable, very moist, soft cake by a three-stage process. Such a prepared cake can be readily stored and/or transported within the jar/container for consumption at a later time and/or remote location.
Abstract:
Packaging (10) in flexible material, comprising a supporting base (11) wherefrom two opposite side walls (12) rise up, each one sealed to a half-perimeter (13) of the base (11) and sealed one to the other along respective side edges (14) and along the upper edge with a head sealing (16), characterised in that in an intermediate area of the packaging (10) at least one continuous transverse sealing (17) is provided, suitable for dividing the interior of the packaging (10) into two separate chambers, a lower chamber (20) and an upper chamber (21), suitable for containing two different components of a product to be heated and brought into contact at the time of consumption, said transverse sealing (17) being such as to open when a certain pressure is reached in said lower chamber (20), thus forming a single chamber inside the packaging (10).
Abstract:
The present invention provides a peelable laminate suitable for cook-in packaging and a method of cooking a food product. The method includes the steps of:a) enclosing a food product in the peelable laminate, the peelable laminate having(1) an edible film in contact with the food product, and(2) a protective film peelably adhered to the edible film; andb) heating the enclosed food product to at least partially cook the food product, the edible layer adhering to the at least partially cooked food product with an adhesive strength which is greater than the force required to peel the protective film from the edible film. In this manner, the protective film can be peeled from the edible film after cooking without product loss due to adherence of food particles to the film. Furthermore, the peelable laminate prevents or minimizes cook-out and allows a modifier to be transferred to the food product via the edible film during the cooking process.
Abstract:
Packaging for shellfish and other seafood in which the product may be microwaved, including the use of pallet structure for positioning the product within the packaging to avoid penetration by shells, fish bones or fins of the plastic wrapping film to enable the product to be preserved by flat packing and vacuum sealing to be subsequently microwaved without rupture of the packaging until intentionally done at the completion of microwaving.
Abstract:
A laminate for use in microwave cooking which includes a susceptor formed by depositing a thin layer of microwave-interactive material on a plastic base sheet, and then extrusion bonding that susceptor to a plastic coated paper sheet, without the use of an adhesive.
