摘要: A fastening apparatus for fastening a heat exchanger on a base, and the method using the same are provided. The heat exchanger is connected with a heat source for dissipating heat generated by the heat source through the heat exchanger. The fastening apparatus includes a first bracket connected to the base, a first latch element, and a second bracket connected to the base. There is a first opening formed in the first bracket. The first latch element is connected to one side of the heat exchanger, and includes a first protrusion and a first contact section for facilitating a user to operate the first latch element. The first protrusion penetrates through the first opening making the first bracket provide movement limitation to the heat exchanger. The second bracket connected with the heat exchanger provides additional movement limitation to the heat exchanger while there is no relative motion between the heat exchanger and the base in the meanwhile. When a user wants to separate the heat exchanger from the base, he presses the first contact section to make the first protrusion move out of the first opening allowing the heat exchanger to be separated from the base.

摘要: A temporary fixing structure includes recesses formed with a mounting hole of a first tubular body to face each other wherein the diameter of the mounting hole extending along the recesses is smaller than that of a flange, and protrusions arranged at the head of an end portion of a second tubular body wherein a spacing between the protrusion and the flange is substantially equal to the thickness of a mounting surface of the first tubular body and wherein the protrusions are arranged inside the fist tubular body through the recesses. The second tubular body is turned with respect to the first tubular body to bring a flat portion of the flange into close contact with the mounting surface of the first tubular body.

摘要: A tank assembly utilized in a heat exchanger such as a radiator and the method of connecting a cylindrical spout such as a filler tube in an opening in the tank wall. An opening is formed in the tank wall with a skirt extending inwardly from the tank wall. A plurality of cam/lock sections are formed at the lower extremity of the skirt with each cam/lock section having a cam surface leading from a receiving end to a locking recess, the opposite wall of which is extended to define a stop. A plurality of radial slots are formed in the tank wall to extend radially of the skirt adjacent the receiving ends of the cam surfaces. A spout is formed having a radially extending shoulder and a lower portion with a plurality of radially extending tabs. An annular seal recess is disposed in the tank wall for receiving a seal. The spout is inserted into the opening by passing the tabs through the slots to engage the tabs with the receiving end of the cam surfaces and the spout is rotated to move the tabs along the cam surfaces until they snap into position in the locking recesses to compress the seal between the shoulder in the spout and the seal recess.

摘要: A heat exchanger (10) connectable with at least one connecting element (11). The heat exchanger is made up of a stacked structure and has holding devices (17) embodied as part of a heat exchanger housing. The holding devices can be produced by deforming an end plate (18) of the heat exchanger or they may be soldered on the end plate (18) in the form of profiled strips (24). The connecting element has corresponding locating elements (19), and assembly is carried out by deforming the holding devices (17) or by configuring the holding devices in the form of a bayonet lock. The integration of the holding devices (17) into the end plate (18) of the heat exchanger has the advantage of reducing manufacturing costs and simplifying assembly.

摘要: Projections are formed on the tip end part of a pipe for directly fitting the pipe into a capsule without using any extraneous elements, thus providing an economical and firmly fitting mechanism. Such a structure is commonly used in a heat exchanger. A tank includes a capsule formed into a box shape with one side open and a bottom panel disposed at the upper and lower ends of a heat exchanger and brazed thereto. A pipe fitting hole is formed in a side panel of the capsule, and around the pipe fitting hole is concavely formed a ring-shaped part inside the tank, and around the-ring-shaped part is formed a cylindrical part approximately at a right angle to the plane of ring-shaped part. On pipe is formed a flange part, and on a tip end part of the pipe are formed projections. The pipe is fit to the capsule of the tank by caulking an annular sealing material to the outer periphery of an end part of the pipe, fitting the end part into the pipe fitting hole, and contracting the annular sealing material between the ring-shaped part, the cylindrical part and the flange part.

摘要: A method of attaching a tube to a wall and particularly to an automotive radiator tank wall in a fluid tight seal in which the tube is provided with inner and outer end flanges on the end that is to be attached to the wall with these flanges spaced apart to define a groove between them substantially equal in width to the thickness of the wall so as to snugly receive the wall therein, providing a slit in the end flange extending for a distance substantially coinciding with the bottom of the groove, arranging at least one of the flange end portions on opposite sides of the slit at an outward angle to provide thereby an angled tab, providing a tube receiving opening in the wall with a slit also defining adjacent wall ends one of which is arranged at an outward angle similar to the angled flange tab, aligning the tube and the opening in the wall coaxially with the outer tube flange in contact with the tank wall at the outer surface thereof, rotating the tube and wall relative to each other thereby causing the tube outer flange tab to slide over the wall tab and pass inwardly of the wall and engage the wall and the tab groove followed by compressing the two flanges toward each other to grip tightly the wall surrounding the wall opening and then joining the tank wall as by soldering, brazing or the like to the flanges to form a fluid tight seal.

摘要: A heat exchanger includes a first part made of metallic core material and having a first connecting portion, and a second part made of metallic core material and having a second connecting portion for connection to the first connecting portion. At least one of the first part and second parts is covered with a brazing layer, and the first and second parts are connected to one another by melting the brazing layer after the first part and the second part are assembled. The first connecting portion includes a fitting concave portion, and the second connecting portion includes a fitting convex portion which is press fitted into the fitting concave portion. The first connecting portion and the second connecting portion have the metallic core material exposed to each surface thereof so that each metallic core material directly contacts with one another when the convex portion is fitted in the concave portion. In this way, it is possible to fix the first part with the second part temporarily with a simple method and without more time and expense than needed.
