The cluster box unit may also include outgoing mail compartment doors that are heavily constructed and rigidly reinforced, with the locks carried thereon protectively shielded, and with the extensible bolts of these locks being engaged by brackets that not only lock the outgoing mail compartment doors but also the master loading doors of the cluster box units. The cluster box unit may also include master loading doors are provided with hinges that extend the full height of the doors—hinges that are defined by pivotally interfitting elements of extrusions that very sturdily mount the master loading doors, that prevent prying or bending the doors in the vicinities of their hinges. The interfitting elements of the hinge extrusions also permit the doors to be installed on their surrounding door frames quickly and easily, and permit one or both of the master loading doors to be quickly and easily removed for service or replacement when necessary.

摘要： A security device for a door comprises a U-shaped reinforcing plate on the vertical edge of a door on the deadbolt side of the door and an elongated frame plate. The door reinforcing plate and the frame plate are made of a hardened material such as cold rolled steel. The door reinforcing plate extends substantially the entire length of the door. A force applied to the door by a would-be intruder is transmitted from the deadbolt to the door reinforcing plate and the elongated frame plate, which then distribute the force over the vertical edge of the door and a significant part of the frame, respectively.

The adjustable shields comprise attachable sleeves that wrap on three sides around the door jamb to reinforce and stabilize the door system.

摘要： A sliding window assembly includes two rectangular sash frames each enclosing an insulated glass panel unit and supported by a surrounding main support frame. At least one of the sash frames is supported for horizontal movement, and horizontally extending interlocking members are formed on the adjacent upper and lower horizontal frame members of the sash frame and main support frame. The interlocking members have interfitting horizontal hook portions positioned to permit each movable sash frame to move freely between a closed position and an open position. The interfitting hook portions are effective to engage and interlock each other in response to a substantial positive or negative windload or such a windload after an impact which breaks the glass panel unit, to limit deflection and prevent permanent deformation or release of the sash frame.
