摘要: An active vibratory noise control apparatus reduces vibratory noise which is produced in the passenger compartment of a vehicle based on vibratory noise generated by a variable-cylinder internal combustion engine that can selectively be operated in a full-cylinder operation mode in which all of the cylinders are operated and a partial-cylinder operation mode in which some of the cylinders are out of operation. The active vibratory noise control apparatus has a partial-cylinder operation mode determining circuit for determining whether the variable-cylinder internal combustion engine is in the partial-cylinder operation mode or not. Depending on a determined result from the partial-cylinder operation mode determining circuit, a transistor is turned on or off to switch an amplifying circuit which drives a speaker into and out of operation.

摘要: In an active noise cancellation system having an adaptive filter that outputs a control signal, first and second speakers that emit a canceling signal generated based on the control signal, a microphone that detects an error signal, a correction filter that corrects the base signal by a correction value to generate a reference signal and a filter coefficient updater that successively updates the adaptive filter coefficient based on the error signal and reference signal such that the error signal is minimized, the correction value of the correction filter is set to a sum obtained by adding the transfer characteristic from the first speaker to the microphone, and a product obtained by multiplying the transfer characteristic from the second speaker to the microphone by the prescribed value, thereby enabling to reduce the number of microphones and avoid the increase in parts, the amount of work to provide complicated wiring to the microphones, and the computational load involved in updating the adaptive filter coefficient, while enabling to maintain an area in which noise can be reduced to the same level as that obtained before reducing the number of microphones.

摘要: An active noise control system is provided which cancels a noise using a secondary noise from a speaker that is operated in accordance with an output from an adaptive controller. The system is configured such that microphone monitor interrupts a switch to thereby stop the secondary noise from being produced, when an error signal delivered by a microphone used for an adaptive computation in an LMS processing portion has the same sign for a predetermined duration. This allows the system to prevent the user from hearing an abnormal acoustic noise resulting from an abnormal operation or divergence of an adaptive filter even when the output signal from the microphone used for the adaptive computation is indicative of an abnormal level.

摘要: The method of adhering polishing pads is capable of easily exchanging polishing pads in a comfortable posture. The method comprises the steps of: setting a pad adhering carrier, which has a through-hole in which a roller unit for pressing polishing pads is fixed, in a holder with arranging a roller unit in a radial direction of a lower polishing plate and an upper polishing plate; relatively moving the upper polishing plate toward the lower polishing plate so as to clamp the roller unit between the lower polishing plate and the upper polishing plate with a prescribed force; rotating the lower polishing plate and the upper polishing plate, which clamp the roller unit, in the opposite directions at the same speed; and pressing the polishing pads onto polishing faces of the lower polishing plate and the upper polishing plate by the roller unit.

摘要: The method of adhering polishing pads is capable of easily adhering the polishing pads without damages. The method comprises the steps of: tentatively adhering the polishing pads to polishing plates; attaching a roller unit having a shaft and a roller member, which is capable of rotating about the shaft and which has a projected section having a prescribed width and spirally formed in an outer circumferential face, on the lower polishing plate in the radial direction; moving the upper polishing plate downward, by the holding unit, until the upper polishing plate contacts the roller member; and simultaneously adhering the polishing pads onto the upper and lower polishing plate by rotating the upper and polishing plates in the opposite directions at the same speed with pressing the roller member by the upper polishing plate.

摘要: An upper polishing plate is moved downward until facing a lower polishing plate to polish a work piece. The upper polishing plate is rotated in a horizontal plane together with a first elastic member, a second elastic member, an outer member and a connecting member. A pressure difference between a first pressing force pressing the outer member or an inner member upward and a second pressing force pressing the outer member or the inner member downward, which is produced in a first closed space by supplying a compressed fluid into and discharging the same from the first closed space, is adjusted, so that a third pressing force of the upper polishing plate, which presses a work piece, can be adjusted.

摘要: A method for manufacturing connectors comprises providing a carrier strip with a plurality of first alignment apertures and a plurality of contacts arranged in a row. The carrier strip is cut to desired lengths to form contact band pieces. The first alignment apertures are engaged with first protrusions on a carrier tape to mount each of the contact band pieces to the carrier tape. The first protrusions have a smaller outer diameter than an inner diameter of the first alignment apertures such that there is slight play there between. Resin is insert molded around the rows of the contacts to form a housing. The contacts are then cut from the carrier strip.
