A method and apparatus for reserving a usable storage space on a storage device is provided. The method includes collecting context data representing an environment surrounding the storage device; selecting at least one file from among files stored in the storage device by using at least one of the context data and user profile data; and processing the selected file and reserving a usable storage space on the storage device. The method reserves the usable storage space by using the context data or user profile data, thereby allowing efficient reserving of usable storage space without a user's manual intervention and preventing waste of unnecessary resources.

A method of controlling a display apparatus using a camera based device and a mobile device, display apparatus, and system applying the same are provided. The method for controlling the display apparatus with the mobile device includes capturing an entity displayed which is on the display apparatus, in response to a movement of the mobile device, sensing at least one of a movement and a change of size of the captured entity, generating a control signal for controlling the display apparatus based on at least one of the sensed movement, and change of size of the entity and transmitting the generated control signal to the display apparatus.

A method and computing device for providing Augmented Reality (AR) is provided. The method of providing AR includes detecting at least one physical object from a real scene obtained through a camera of a computing device, rendering at least one virtual object at a desired position of the detected at least one physical object on the real scene provided on a display, enabling communication through a command for interaction between the rendered at least one virtual object, and enabling the at least one virtual object to perform an action in response to command communication between the at least one virtual object.

The method includes storing information regarding device capabilities of the plurality of electronic devices in a device information database. The method includes storing information regarding requirements of the application in the device information database. The plurality of electronic devices is selected by the first electronic device. The method includes executing the application in the first electronic device as a request initiated by second electronic device. Execution is performed by utilizing processor resources in the first electronic device. The method includes maintaining synchronization of the first electronic device and the plurality of electronic devices. The method includes rendering output data of the application in at least one of the plurality of electronic devices.
Abstract:
A technique for generating a three-dimensional (3D) image using a plurality of terminals is provided. The technique includes performing calibration of a distance between lenses in a plurality of terminals by using view images of a two-dimensional (2D) object acquired by the plurality of terminals, acquiring view images of a 3D object while maintaining a lens distance between the plurality of terminals which is determined based on the result of the calibration, and processing the acquired view images of the 3D object in order to generate a 3D image of the 3D object. The 3D image allows a user to experience the same sense of depth as viewing the object in the real world.
