    Abstract: A washing machine with a motor having a structure with improved performance. The washing machine includes a body, a tub disposed in the body, a drum rotatably disposed in the tub, and a motor including a stator coupled to a rear surface of the tub and a rotor rotatably disposed inside the stator. The stator includes a stator core including a core body and a plurality of core teeth extending inward from an inner circumferential surface of the core body in a radial direction of the core body, a first insulator and a second insulator covering both ends of the core body and the core teeth, a coil wound around the core teeth, and a plurality of insulation films disposed between the first insulator and the second insulator to electrically insulate the stator core and the coil.

    Abstract: A motor apparatus having a high efficiency and reducing manufacturing cost by using a cost effective ferrite permanent magnet includes a rotatable shaft, a fan connected to one side of the shaft to generate a flow of air, a stator including stator cores arranged in a circumferential direction, and a coil wound around the stator core, and a rotor disposed at an inside of the stator and provided in a form of a cylinder having a passage allowing the shaft to pass through the rotor includes a rotor core provided with a protrusion structure and one or more ferrite magnets coupled to the rotor core to provide a magnetic force. By using a ferrite magnet, when compared to a conventional universal motor, a superior efficiency is obtained, and when compared to a BLDC motor using a Nd magnet, a low cost BLDC motor is implemented.

    Abstract: A rotor having an improved structure capable of achieving an enhancement in durability and a motor having the rotor are disclosed. The rotor is configured to co-operate with a stator in an electromagnetic manner such that the rotor rotates. The rotor includes a sleeve having a shaft hole, through which the motor shaft extends, rotor cores spaced apart from one another in a circumferential direction of the rotor, and at least one of permanent magnets disposed between adjacent ones of the rotor cores such that the permanent magnets are arranged in a radial manner about the sleeve. First and second cover plates are disposed at opposite sides of the permanent magnets in an axial direction. The first and second cover plates have plate holes respectively corresponding to the through holes of the rotor cores. The rotor cores and the first and second cover plates are coupled by fastening members.
