    Abstract: A method of wireless communication by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving, from a base station, a receive chain switching configuration for a multi-carrier environment. The UE also receives a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) on one or more carriers of the multi-carrier environment with multiple receive chains, in accordance with the receive chain switching configuration. The UE decodes downlink control information (DCI) from the PDCCH for physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) scheduling across multiple carriers in the multi-carrier environment. The UE performs receive chain switching based on the PDSCH scheduling from the decoded DCI and the receive chain switching configuration.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, a control message including an indication associated with a configuration for an interference measurement (IM) report in a channel state information (CSI) report. The UE may determine a setting of the configuration for the IM report based on the indication, which may include one or both of a resource setting associated with IM information in a frequency domain or a spatial setting associated with IM information in a spatial domain. The UE may generate the IM report based on one or both of the resource setting or the spatial setting and may transmit the CSI report including the IM report to the base station.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, an indication of a monitoring window used by the base station to monitor for uplink transmissions from the UE. The UE may receive a control signal scheduling uplink resources for an uplink transmission by the UE on at least a first component carrier, the first component carrier in a first radio frequency spectrum band. The UE may reconfigure, in response to the received control signal, a first transmit chain of the UE from a second component carrier in a second radio frequency spectrum band to the first component carrier in the first radio frequency spectrum band for the uplink transmission. The UE may transmit, based at least in part on the indicated monitoring window and using at least the reconfigured first transmit chain, the uplink transmission on the first component carrier using the scheduled uplink resources.

    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may group, into a common slot, a first plurality of consecutive uplink slots included in a first component carrier and a second plurality of consecutive uplink slots included in a second component carrier. The UE may determine whether an uplink transmission is scheduled in at least one of the first plurality of consecutive uplink slots or the second plurality of consecutive uplink slots. The UE may transmit on the first component carrier or on the second component carrier in the common slot or determine whether to switch a transmit chain based at least in part on whether an uplink transmission is scheduled in at least one of the first plurality of consecutive uplink slots or the second plurality of consecutive uplink slots.     Abstract: Channel covariance feedback is disclosed for enhanced full-dimension multiple input, multiple output (eFD-MIMO) systems. Channel state information (CSI) reference signal (CSI-RS) feedback operations are implemented using spatial covariance feedback of a covariance estimate. After obtaining a set of orthogonal basis vectors, a user equipment (UE) measures the CSI-RS from a base station and determines the spatial covariance matrix from the signal. The UE may then compress the spatial covariance matrix into a lower-dimension covariance estimate matrix using the orthogonal basis vectors. The lower-dimension matrix along with element-wise quantization allows for feedback of spatial covariance for eFD-MIMO systems without excessive feedback overhead.
