Abstract: An image display system includes: an image projection unit that projects and displays an image on a display target for a moving body; a posture angle calculation unit that calculates a posture angle for the moving body on the basis of chronological data for acceleration detection values for the acceleration of the moving body in a prescribed time period; and a display control unit that controls the display position at which the image is projected and displayed on the display target, in accordance with the posture angle calculated by the posture angle calculation unit. The acceleration detection values include bi-directional components. The posture angle calculation unit excludes acceleration detection values from the chronological data used when calculating the posture angle, said acceleration detection values being included in an exclusion time period which has a ratio for the bidirectional components, in the prescribed time period, that is outside a prescribed range.

Abstract: An image display system includes a body, a first correction unit, and a second correction unit. The body houses a display unit to display an image and projects a virtual image, corresponding to the image, onto a target space using outgoing light of the display unit. The first correction unit corrects for distortion of the image. The second correction unit corrects a display location of the image on the display unit in accordance with an orientation signal representing a change in orientation of the body. Each of divisional areas of a display screen of the display unit is assigned with a distortion correction parameter for correcting for the distortion of the virtual image. The first correction unit applies distortion correction to each of the image regions of the image on the display screen based on a distortion correction parameter assigned to a divisional area where the image region is displayed.

Abstract: A light guide body in a display device includes a first incident surface on which an image light is incident, and a second emission surface from which the image light is emitted. The light guide body includes a second emission optical element that diffracts the image light to emit a portion of the image light at a predetermined emission angle every time the image light enters the second emission optical element from a predetermined direction. The image light is diverged by being emitted from the second emission optical element such that the predetermined emission angle varies in accordance with a location in one predetermined region included in a plurality of predetermined regions of the optical element. The degree of divergence varies between the one predetermined region and other predetermined region included in the plurality of predetermined regions in accordance with the location of the virtual image.

Abstract: An electronic mirror system presents circumstances surrounding a moving vehicle by displaying an image presenting the circumstances surrounding the moving vehicle. Abstract: A display device includes a controller that determines the mode of inclination of a display object that is an image shaped to point to one direction, and a drawing unit that projects light representing the display object in the mode of inclination determined by the controller onto a windshield to cause the light to be reflected off the windshield toward a user in the vehicle to enable the user to visually recognize the display object in the mode of inclination as a virtual image through the windshield. The controller determines the mode of inclination of the display object that points to the one direction as a navigation direction, by controlling yaw and roll angles of the display object depending on the attribute of a path point that is set on the path to navigate the vehicle to a destination.

Abstract: A rendering system includes a first obtainer, a second obtainer, a renderer, an estimator, and a corrector. The first obtainer obtains position information indicating a position of an object from a detector. The second obtainer obtains movement information indicating a movement state of the moving body. The renderer renders a display image including a content related to the object. The estimator estimates a delay period by comparing the position information to estimated-position information indicating an estimated position of the object estimated based on the movement information of the object. The corrector corrects displacement of a display position of the content on the display image which is caused by movement of the moving body over the delay period.
