    Abstract: An image display system includes: an image projection unit that projects and displays an image on a display target for a moving body; a posture angle calculation unit that calculates a posture angle for the moving body on the basis of chronological data for acceleration detection values for the acceleration of the moving body in a prescribed time period; and a display control unit that controls the display position at which the image is projected and displayed on the display target, in accordance with the posture angle calculated by the posture angle calculation unit. The acceleration detection values include bi-directional components. The posture angle calculation unit excludes acceleration detection values from the chronological data used when calculating the posture angle, said acceleration detection values being included in an exclusion time period which has a ratio for the bidirectional components, in the prescribed time period, that is outside a prescribed range.

    Abstract: A light guide body in a display device includes a first incident surface on which an image light is incident, and a second emission surface from which the image light is emitted. The light guide body includes a second emission optical element that diffracts the image light to emit a portion of the image light at a predetermined emission angle every time the image light enters the second emission optical element from a predetermined direction. The image light is diverged by being emitted from the second emission optical element such that the predetermined emission angle varies in accordance with a location in one predetermined region included in a plurality of predetermined regions of the optical element. The degree of divergence varies between the one predetermined region and other predetermined region included in the plurality of predetermined regions in accordance with the location of the virtual image.

    Abstract: A virtual image display system includes an image data producing unit, an image display, and an optical system. The image data producing unit produces, based on image data of a rendering target and position information about a display position of the target, image data to display a virtual image of the target. The image display displays, on a display screen, an image based on the image data to display the virtual image. The display screen is arranged to be tilted with respect to an optical path leading from the display screen to the optical system. The image data of the rendering target includes first image data of a stereoscopic rendering target. The image data producing unit produces, based on the first image data and position information about a display position of the stereoscopic rendering target, second image data to make the user view the stereoscopic rendering target stereoscopically.

    Abstract: An electronic mirror system presents circumstances surrounding a moving vehicle by displaying an image presenting the circumstances surrounding the moving vehicle. The electronic mirror system includes an image display and an optical system. The image display displays, every time image data is acquired from an image capturing unit, the image, based on the image data acquired from the image capturing unit, on a display screen. The image capturing unit continuously shoots video presenting the circumstances surrounding the moving vehicle. The optical system condenses, into an eye box, a light beam representing the image displayed on the display screen to make a user, who has a viewpoint inside the eye box, view a virtual image based on the image displayed on the display screen. The display screen is arranged to be tilted with respect to an optical path that leads from the display screen to the optical system (30).

    Abstract: A rendering system includes a first obtainer, a second obtainer, a renderer, an estimator, and a corrector. The first obtainer obtains position information indicating a position of an object from a detector. The second obtainer obtains movement information indicating a movement state of the moving body. The renderer renders a display image including a content related to the object. The estimator estimates a delay period by comparing the position information to estimated-position information indicating an estimated position of the object estimated based on the movement information of the object. The corrector corrects displacement of a display position of the content on the display image which is caused by movement of the moving body over the delay period.
