    Abstract: Various communication systems may benefit from mechanism for enhancing communications. For example, certain wireless communication systems may benefit from enhanced reactivation for light connected user equipment. A method can include preparing a message to be sent to a user equipment. The message can be configured to command the user equipment to enter light connection mode. The method can also include including, in the message with the command to enter light connection mode, an indication of at least one carrier or secondary cell.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, are provided for dual connectivity. In one aspect there is provided a method. The method may include applying, at a user equipment having dual connectivity to a first wireless access point and a second wireless access point, a first discontinuous receive cycle pattern in a second cell served by the second wireless access point, when the user equipment is active in a first cell served by the first wireless access point; and applying, at the user equipment having dual connectivity to the first wireless access point and the second wireless access point, a second discontinuous receive cycle pattern in the second cell, when the user equipment is not active in the first cell. Related apparatus, systems, methods, and articles are also described.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, are provided for measurement configuration in heterogeneous networks. In one aspect there is provided a method. The method may include receiving, at a user equipment, configuration information including a range of mobility state values, wherein the range of mobility state values are associated with one or more event reporting criteria; determining, at the user equipment, whether at least one of the range of mobility state values is valid based on a determined mobile state estimation of the user equipment; and determining, based on the determined validity of the range of mobility state values, whether to enable reporting associated with the one or more event reporting criteria.
