Disclosed herein are a positioning environment analysis apparatus, and a method and system for predicting location determination performance of a terminal. The presented system includes one or more collection devices for acquiring collected data that includes information about positioning resources for respective points, an LBS platform including a collection server for receiving the collected data from the one or more collection devices, and arranging and storing the collected data in a DB, and a positioning DB creation device for analyzing and processing the positioning resource information and creating a positioning DB to be used for location determination, and a positioning environment analysis apparatus for loading environment analysis data from one or more of the collection server, the positioning DB, and a user terminal, and evaluating and predicting, based on the environment analysis data, location determination performance values for respective points in a service area, for respective positioning resources.

Disclosed herein are an apparatus and method for precise positioning based on deep learning. The method performed by the apparatus includes setting a collection location and a collection environment, collecting wireless signal data based on the collection location and the collection environment, generating a magnitude map image for training from the wireless signal data, and generating a positioning DB model by learning the image characteristics of the magnitude map image for training through deep-learning-based training.

The method for operating an apparatus for estimating an indoor location based on packet capture includes receiving packet capture information from multiple packet-collection-dedicated access points, searching a positioning infrastructure database for positioning data corresponding to the received packet capture information, and estimating a movement direction of a terminal using found positioning data.

Disclosed herein is a method and apparatus for estimating the location of a pedestrian using step length estimation model parameters. In the method of estimating a location of a pedestrian according to the present invention, mobile User Equipment (UE) having sensors generates positioning measurement information. The mobile UE requests positioning assistance information from a positioning server. The positioning server generates the positioning assistance information. The positioning server provides the positioning assistance information to the mobile UE. The mobile UE performs location estimation of the pedestrian using the positioning measurement information and the positioning assistance information.

Disclosed herein are an apparatus and method for positioning of uncollected points based on machine learning using matching wireless communication infrastructure points. The apparatus includes memory in which at least one program according to an embodiment is recorded and a processor for executing the program. The program may compare collected data acquired from wireless communication infrastructure with positioning data measured by a positioning target terminal and thereby extract matching feature points; create a fingerprint database of global grid cells, including uncollected points, for the extracted feature points in real time; and estimate the optimal composite location of the positioning target terminal based on the created fingerprint database.
