    摘要: Provided are a method of manufacturing an outer race which contributes to extension of a bearing life and allows rolling elements to stably roll, an outer race for a double-row angular bearing, and a wheel bearing device. Further, provided is a double-row angular bearing which is excellent in both strength and rigidity and which can be endowed with a longer life and higher quality. At least one of an inner race and the outer race is formed by a cold rolling process. Hardness prior to the cold rolling process of a blank is set to Rockwell Hardness 30 HRC or less. The outer race is formed by performing the cold rolling process on the blank including a circumferentially protruding portion which is provided on a radially inner surface of the blank and protrudes to a radially inner side of the blank.

    摘要: A wheel-supporting bearing has a built-in rotation sensor which can be manufactured at low cost and which is high in mechanical strength and sealing capability at the joint portion between the rotation sensor and a harness. The rotation sensor, which is fixed to the inner ring, is made up of a stator formed by pressing, and a coil wound inside the stator. An annular plate is coupled to the back of the stator. A resin molding is fixed to the annular plate. A lead extending from the coil is connected to the harness in the resin molding. The lead is covered with a resin sleeve and surrounded by seal rings to reinforce and seal the joint portion between the lead and the harness.

    摘要: A clutch piston slidably mounted for motion in the axial direction on the turbine shaft or the turbine runner of a torque converter comprising a pump, an impeller, a turbine runner and a stator. A direct coupling clutch is positioned between the clutch piston and the housing of a torque converter. Pressurized oil is supplied for releasing the clutch within an oil chamber between one side of the clutch piston and the housing. A converter pressure is continuously applied to the oil chamber and to the other side of the clutch piston, which is the operating chamber of the torque converter. Thereby, the direct coupling clutch is continuously released. When the automatic transmission is in a selected high speed position, a line pressure higher than the converter pressure, is applied to the operating chamber causing the direct coupling clutch to engage. Converter pressure is applied continuously to the operating chamber of the torque converter through one port of a check valve. The other check valve port is connected to the line pressure only when the automatic transmission is shifted to said high speed position, causing the direct coupling clutch to automatically engage.

    摘要: The automatic transmission comprises a torque converter having a pump, a turbine, a stator and a direct-coupling clutch adapted to engage the pump with the transmission casing, and a transmission gear having multiple forward gears and a reverse gear. A lockup control valve comprising a spool on which a governor pressure and the force of a spring act oppositely, and a switch valve adapted to change-over the oil-hydraulic circuits for the release or the engagement of the direct-coupling clutch, are provided for the oil-hydraulic control circuit of the automatic transmission. The direct-coupling clutch can become engaged only if the governor pressure should exceed a predetermined pressure and the transmission be in a select high speed range.

The outer member has a body mounting flange for mounting it to a knuckle of a suspension apparatus. The knuckle has a disc shaped bottom portion. The outer member is secured to the knuckle by fastening bolts. The body mounting flange abuts against the bottom portion of the knuckle. The inner side end of the inner member is closed by the knuckle. A plurality of pins is secured to the knuckle. Pin bores to receive the pins are formed on the body mounting flange. The pin bores radially positioning the outer member relative to the knuckle.
