    Abstract: A connector comprises a housing including an upper casing defining an aperture through which a wire is adapted to extend, and a lower casing defining a chamber receiving the upper casing. The chamber defines an opening that opens toward the upper casing. The upper casing is movable relative to the lower casing upon the exerting of a force on the upper casing such that the aperture and the opening at least partially overlap. A conductive terminal is disposed in the chamber of the lower casing and is adapted to tear an outer insulation of the wire arranged within the chamber to electrically connect to a conductor of the wire as the upper casing is moved toward the lower casing.

    Abstract: An electrical connector and associated terminal are disclosed for making an electrical connection to a wire. The terminal includes a plurality of metal plates adjoining each other to form a stack that defines a passage for receiving the wire. The plates include a plurality of cutter plates disposed between a pair of outer holding plates. Each of the cutter plates has a pair of cutting edges for disrupting any insulation on the wire to permit a conductor of the wire to directly contact the cutter plate. One or more of the cutter plates may have a contact projection for making an electrical connection. The connector includes the terminal and may further include a housing. The holding plates of the terminal have outer edges with abutment features for engaging interior surfaces of the housing.

    Abstract: A connector for receiving a ribbon cable is provided. The connector includes a housing with an open top, and a cable organizer configured to be positioned within an interior of the housing and the open top and to receive the ribbon cable. The cable organizer includes a surface with a first cable grab hook adjacent a first end thereof, configured to receive a first portion of the ribbon cable via a snap-fit engagement. The connector also includes cover configured to selectively cover the open top of the housing to enclose the cable organizer within the interior of the housing. The cover includes a notch extending therethrough, sized to receive an upper detent of the cable organizer so that the upper detent extends through the notch and remains viewable when the cover encloses the cable organizer within the interior of the housing.

    Abstract: This disclosure relates to a novel motor terminal connector. The main body comprises aboard end and a wiring end, the board end is disposed with a pin, and the wiring end is disposed with a receiving slot; the receiving slot has an opening away from the pin, and on both sides of the opening, two elastic cantilevers are disposed, with the free ends of the two elastic cantilevers extending towards the inner bottom of the receiving slot, leaving a gap with the inner bottom, and the free ends of the two elastic cantilevers gradually approach each other as they extend; the two elastic cantilevers are used to clamp enameled wire, and serrations are disposed on the opposing sides of the two elastic cantilevers, where the serrations are used to press and pierce the enamel of the enameled wire, thereby enabling the two elastic cantilevers to clamp the enameled wire and form an electrical conductive connection. In use, the serrations press and pierce the enamel of the enameled wire, and the serrations push away the pierced enamel, enabling the two elastic cantilevers to effectively clamp the enameled wire, avoiding the influence of the enamel and obtaining great electrical conductive connection performance. The elasticity of the two elastic cantilevers ensures stable clamping of the enameled wire.

    Abstract: A dual contact Insulation Displacement Contact (IDC) header pin comprised of an upper section, a lead-in section, and a retention section. The upper section of the pin has at a plurality of pin barbs to allow it to be retained into a housing. The side walls and back of the upper portion create a C-shape to the upper portion. Each IDC header pin has two blades to contact a wire and displace the insulation thereof. The lead-in section serves to lead the IDC header pin into a housing and prevent stubbing of the pin during insertion. The retention section of the pin has a plurality of rib-like projections allowing the pin to be retained into respective holes in a PCB by applying normal force and an interference fit. An embodiment is open, with front protrusions on the upper section, and another embodiment is closed, having two front walls on the upper section.

    Abstract: A metallic contact for insertion into a modular telecommunications plug includes a generally planar body defining a top end, a bottom end, a front end, a rear end, and a length extending from the front end to the rear end. The bottom end is at least partially defined by a blade for piercing an insulation of a wire positioned within the plug. At least a portion of the top end is configured to electrically contact a conductor of a jack that receives the plug. The top end is defined at least in part by a first engagement surface that is separated from a second engagement surface by a notch. An uppermost portion of the first engagement surface defines a first push surface that is generally at the same height as a second push surface defined by an uppermost portion of the second engagement surface. The notch is defined by a front vertical wall spaced from a rear vertical wall, wherein the front vertical wall is positioned at a distance of at least half the length of the contact from the front end of the contact.
