    摘要: A clamping terminal comprises a first elastic arm disposed at one end thereof and includes a first elastic beam and a first upper sub-arm coupled to the first elastic beam. A second elastic arm is disposed at the other end of the clamping terminal and includes a second elastic beam and a second upper sub-arm coupled to the second elastic beam. A shared elastic arm assembly is disposed between the first elastic arm and the second elastic arm and includes at least one shared elastic beam. Two sides of the shared elastic beam are coupled to shared sub-arms respectively, such that the first elastic arm is disposed opposite to one side of the shared elastic arm assembly to form a first sub-clamping terminal. The second elastic arm is disposed opposite to the other side of the shared elastic arm assembly to form a second sub-clamping terminal.

    摘要: A metallic contact for insertion into a modular telecommunications plug includes a generally planar body defining a top end, a bottom end, a front end, a rear end, and a length extending from the front end to the rear end. The bottom end is at least partially defined by a blade for piercing an insulation of a wire positioned within the plug. At least a portion of the top end is configured to electrically contact a conductor of a jack that receives the plug. The top end is defined at least in part by a first engagement surface that is separated from a second engagement surface by a notch. An uppermost portion of the first engagement surface defines a first push surface that is generally at the same height as a second push surface defined by an uppermost portion of the second engagement surface. The notch is defined by a front vertical wall spaced from a rear vertical wall, wherein the front vertical wall is positioned at a distance of at least half the length of the contact from the front end of the contact.

    摘要: A communication jack has a housing with a face having a plug receiving aperture. A plurality of conductive path pairs extends from corresponding plug interface contacts located at the plug receiving aperture to corresponding output terminals. A first circuit board is connected to the plug interface contacts and a second circuit board is connected to the plug interface contacts and the output terminals. The first circuit board has a first single stage of crosstalk compensation with opposite polarity of the crosstalk of a plug for a first combination of the conductive path pairs. The second circuit board includes a second single stage of opposite polarity crosstalk compensation for some of the conductive path pairs not compensated on the first circuit board. The stages cancel substantially all of the crosstalk caused by the plug, for the signal operating frequencies, for corresponding combinations of the conductive path pairs.
