    摘要: A disk driving device includes a disk, a motor, an arm, a head, and a housing. The disk rotates about a rotation shaft extending in a vertical direction. The motor causing the disk to rotate. The arm swings about a swinging shaft which is disposed at a position different from the rotation shaft and which extends in the vertical direction. The head is disposed at a tip of the arm and is configured to perform reading or writing of information from or to the disk. The housing accommodates the disk, the motor, the arm, and the head. The housing includes a base plate, a cover, a pivot post, a tubular portion, and a screw. The base plate is a cast product and has a box shape including a bottom wall extending perpendicularly to the rotation shaft and an open top. The cover has a plate shape covering an opening of the base plate. The pivot post is a member separate from the base plate and protrudes upward from a top surface of the bottom wall along the swinging shaft. The tubular portion has a tube shape accommodating the pivot post, and the arm is attached thereto via a bearing disposed on an outer circumference thereof. The screw is inserted into a through-hole provided in the cover and is screwed to a screw hole provided at a top end of the pivot post. The pivot post includes an annular portion in a ring shape protruding in a radial direction from an outer circumferential surface thereof. A top end of the tubular portion is located above the top end of the pivot post and is in contact with a bottom surface of the cover. A bottom end of the tubular portion is disposed on the annular portion.

    摘要: A mechanical enclosure provides a mechanism for coupling a storage device to a computer system. The mechanical enclosure can be removably coupled to the computer system and can allow for coupling of the storage device to the computer system without using specialty cables and connectors. The mechanical enclosure can allow the storage device to be coupled to computer system without significantly degrading the speed at which the data stored within the storage device is downloaded onto the computer. The storage device can be inserted into the mechanical enclosure which couples the storage device to the mechanical enclosure. The mechanical enclosure can be inserted into the computer system which similarly couples the computer system to the mechanical enclosure to effectively couple the storage device and the computer system. Once the storage device is effectively coupled to the computer system, the data stored within the storage device can be downloaded onto the computer without the need for specialty cables and connectors.

    摘要: A system, information handling system and method are disclosed for accommodating multiple devices in a single bay. A bracket comprises a pair of sidewalls adapted for slidable insertion in slots in a bay. An upper portion of the bracket comprises inner walls formed with slots and a lower portion formed with flanges. A tray formed with rails on exterior surfaces may be inserted in the slots in the inner walls of the bracket. A first SFF device or devices may be positioned in the tray and a second SFF device may be positioned in the flanges to install multiple SFF devices in the bay.
