摘要: A phosphorescent writing sheet and system along with methods of production and use are provided. The writing/drawing system includes a writing sheet and a light source. The writing sheet includes a generally transparent substrate sheet or film, phosphorescent paint, and a generally transparent covering sheet or film. To create the writing sheet, a thin layer of the phosphorescent paint is deposited onto the inner surface of the substrate. When the paint is dry, the covering sheet is positioned above the paint layer. The layers are then laminated to adhere the substrate layer to the covering layer with the paint enclosed between them to form the transparent or translucent writing sheet. To use, the light source is run along either the front or back outer surface to create a track, which triggers the phosphorescent paint to luminesce to create glowing traces along the track of the light source.

摘要: Sealing a package with a visually transparent sealing label is described. The visually transparent sealing label contains an ultraviolet blocking component to prevent transmission of ultraviolet radiation through the label to the surface of the package. The package comprises an activatable component that upon excitation with ultraviolet radiation emits luminescence. The presence of the sealing label on the package may be verified by illuminating the sealing label with ultraviolet radiation and by observing whether the level of luminescence from the package material under the sealing label is lower than a limit value.

The illumination apparatus can comprise a carrier matrix. 摘要: A vehicle lighting system is provided primarily for use with emergency response vehicles. The lighting system includes luminescent alphanumeric characters affixed upon a planar vehicle mounting plate so as to emit light upwardly so as to be seen from the air. The vehicle lighting system also includes a light bar affixed to the planar plate. The light bar is positioned to illuminate light primarily horizontally so as to be seen by those on the ground. Preferably, the luminescent planar sheets are connected by wiring to the light bar so that luminescent planar sheet obtains power from the light bar. In addition, the light bar includes a light sensor electrically connected between the power source and luminescent planar sheets which automatically disables the luminescent panels when ambient light is above a predetermined threshold.
