摘要： A tap sensitive alarm clock has a housing (20), a vibration sensor (22) mechanically coupled to the housing for receiving a shock due to a user tapping the housing, and a control circuit (24) coupled to the vibration sensor for controlling a function of the alarm clock. An audio unit (26) is coupled to an audio circuit (25) for generating sound, e.g. a loudspeaker in an alarm clock or a wake up light. To avoid interference of the sound and the vibration sensor, the alarm clock is provided with a filter (23) coupled to the vibration sensor and the control circuit. The filter has a filter curve matched to block frequencies occurring in the sound. Advantageously it is avoided that the sound frequencies trigger the function, while the sensor is sensitive to other frequencies up to the frequency range of the sound for reliably detecting the tapping.

摘要： A mobile terminal and a method of setting an alarm therein are provided. The mobile terminal includes a controller, a display unit, and a memory unit. The controller controls the display unit to display an alarm setting screen on which alarm dates are arranged in a first direction and alarm time points are arranged in a second direction, the alarm screen being displayed in an alarm setting mode and sets an alarm at a selected time point of each alarm date in response to selection of the alarm time point. The controller also controls the memory unit to store a set alarm on an alarm date and alarm time point. The display unit displays an alarm image at an intersection of an alarm date and an alarm time point of each set alarm.

When the alarm is armed, the creature rotates or bows its limbs so that its body assumes a sleeping position. It may emit audible purring or other soothing noises for the relaxation of its owner. A controller receives the real time signals and communications signal, establishes communications with the secondary communications device, instructs the voice recorder/playback means to send and play the reminder messages at the secondary communications device at predetermined times, and initiates a phone call to a designated care-giver via a locally connected telephone, in the absence of an acknowledgement signal after a voice reminder message has been played, and optionally, if removable a pill box of a pill dispenser coupled to the reminder apparatus is not removed and reinserted in a timely manner.
