Abstract:
An apparatus, intended for use in indicating time interval durations of particular events includes a computer system with a processing system having a hardware processor and a memory accessible to the processing system, a user interface controller under control of the processing system, and logic, under control of the processing system. The logic has modules that make up an application programming interface (API) for an ETMD to generate a display that has various regions including an ante meridiem events region and a post meridiem events region that share a common center. The API helps a calling program cause the display of arciforms to indicate the time duration of events. In various embodiments, the API accesses calendar databases of the user and collects event information, putting the events together into an aggregation database that the API accesses to retrieve events on a date, user, location, or other basis. Various implementations provide for the display or arciforms on a map or as a camera overlay.
Abstract:
Context-specific user interfaces for use with a portable multifunction device are disclosed. The methods described herein for context-specific user interfaces provide indications of time and, optionally, a variety of additional information. Further disclosed are non-transitory computer-readable storage media, systems, and devices configured to perform the methods described herein.
Abstract:
A wearable electronic device having an analog display and a digital display. The device may include a receiver for receiving, from a remote source, current time information data representative of a current time; a controller, operatively coupled to the receiver, wherein the controller processes the current time information data received from the remote source and provides for the current time information data to be displayed by the at least one digital indicator on the digital display as the current time; and a an analog time indicator rotating arrangement for causing the rotation of the at least one analog time indicator until the at least one analog time indicator is aligned with the at least one digital indicator; whereby the alignment of the at least one analog time indicator with the at least one digital indicator indicates that the at least one analog time indicator is synchronized with the correct time information.
Abstract:
A pump assembly includes a centrifugal pump driven by an electric motor and is provided with a time display which is formed by an annular row of light diodes, wherein a time is assigned to each light diode.
Abstract:
The invention is a method and system for graphical representation of time. In this invention the hours are represented by an hour symbol drawn in a display area. The minutes of the hour are represented by a translation attribute of the hour symbol, which changes the hour symbol proportionally as the minutes of the hour lapse. The translation attribute may be position, size, rotation, a combination or other attributes. In a preferred embodiment, the visual identification of the minute is enhanced by the addition of a proportional change in the state of the background to indicate the minutes past the hour.
Abstract:
A wearable device may include: an analog watch unit that includes a time indicating unit that indicates time, and a drive unit that drives the time indicating unit; a touch screen that senses an input for adjusting the drive unit; and a control unit that controls the drive unit in response to the sensed input.
Abstract:
Provided is a mobile terminal device capable of performing, when a user moves the mobile terminal device as if the user operated an hourglass, a screen display and a time measurement accordingly. The mobile phone device 10 comprises a display unit 13, an inclination sensor 20, an hourglass function control unit 31 for measuring a set time and displaying the image of the hourglass on the display unit 13, and an inclination deciding unit 32 for controlling the time measured by the hourglass function control unit 31, on the basis of measured data from the inclination sensor 20.
Abstract:
A visual display and device and method for producing the display may indicate the time or other data in a bold, elegant, intuitive, and stylistic manner that is easily legible despite obscured vision, viewing distances, or the user's inattentiveness. A minimalistic display may include a shape such as a geometric shape that presents the time by connecting the distal ends of the hour and minute indicators with a possibly time-varying curve. This curve aids in the interpretation of the time. Another embodiment of the invention displays, using a polar coordinate system, two physical parameters on single similar display in an aesthetically-pleasing, elegant, and intuitive method.

Abstract:
A timing display device for use in sports such as basketball. The display includes two indicators which move in unison towards a central location. The display often includes a series of lights which give the impression of a line reducing in length over a time period.
