Abstract: A computing device includes a display device, one or more sensors to obtain biometric information of a user associated with the computing device, and one or more processors to execute instructions stored in one or more memories to: determine whether the user completes one or more biometric goals based on the biometric information, and receive data associated with a first user interface screen and data associated with one or more first biometric achievement user interface screens. Each of the first biometric achievement user interface screens include one or more first user interface elements from the first user interface screen and are associated with biometric goals. The first user interface screen forms at least part of a home screen, and in response to the user completing a first biometric goal, a corresponding first biometric achievement user interface screen associated with completion of the first biometric goal is provided.

Abstract: Power consumption due to failed automatic calibration is suppressed. An electronic watch is provided with a magnetic sensor, a processor for performing calibration of the magnetic sensor and controlling two or more function modes, and an acceleration sensor for sensing movement of a user. The processor determines whether a state of movement sensed by the acceleration sensor is a calibratable state in which calibration of the magnetic sensor can be performed, performs discrimination of a function mode being executed among the two or more function modes, and performs the calibration of the magnetic sensor when (i) the state of movement sensed by the acceleration sensor is the calibratable state and (ii) the function mode is not a non-default mode, the non-default mode being a function mode executed in accordance with an operation by the user.

Abstract: An apparatus, intended for use in indicating time interval durations of particular events includes a computer system with a processing system having a hardware processor and a memory accessible to the processing system, a user interface controller under control of the processing system, and logic, under control of the processing system. The logic has modules that make up an application programming interface (API) for an ETMD to generate a display that has various regions including an ante meridiem events region and a post meridiem events region that share a common center. The API helps a calling program cause the display of arciforms to indicate the time duration of events. In various embodiments, the API accesses calendar databases of the user and collects event information, putting the events together into an aggregation database that the API accesses to retrieve events on a date, user, location, or other basis. Various implementations provide for the display or arciforms on a map or as a camera overlay.

The user interface presented thereby has various regions including an ante meridiem events region and a post meridiem events region that share a common center. Arciforms indicate the time duration of events. In various embodiments, an arciform has a first start point in one of the regions and connected to an initial arc of points that are equidistant from the common center, and a final arc of points that are equidistant from the common center connected to a first end point in a different one of the regions, with a transition indicator linking the initial arc with the final arc.
