    摘要: A sensor device for detecting transport parameters representative of those experienced by a sample during transportation is provided. The sample is stored in a container. The sensor device includes a housing with a configuration that generally matches the configuration of the container, a hardened substrate portion formed from a substrate material, and a sensor assembly comprising at least one sensor for detecting at least one transport parameter (e.g. acceleration, orientation, temperature, etc.). The sensor assembly is secured within the housing by the hardened substrate portion. Optionally, a weight of the device approximates a combined weight of the container and the sample stored therein. The weight of the sensor device can be adjusted. When the device is positioned proximate to the container during transportation, the at least one transport parameter detected by the at least one sensor is analogous to that at least one transport parameter experienced in the container.

    摘要: An image forming apparatus includes a photoreceptor which is rotatable with respect to a body frame, an exposing member which is movable relative to the body frame, a spacing member which is provided between the exposing member and the photoreceptor to maintain a distance between the photoreceptor and the exposing member, a positioning member which makes a contact with the exposing member to position the exposing member in a direction of rotation of the photoreceptor, and a pressing member which is provided to the body frame to press the exposing member toward the photoreceptor and the positioning member. Accordingly, it is possible to position the exposing member accurately with respect to the photoreceptor, in any of the light-axis direction and the rotational direction of the photoreceptor.

    摘要: A toner cartridge having a microcontroller configured to store data necessary to create a message authentication code required by the printer. The microcontroller contains data values capable of generating acceptable MACs for a plurality of printers used in a plurality of geographic regions. The microcontroller recognizes a variety of unique parameters displayed by the printer's processor to identify the geographic region of the printer being used. Once the printer and geographic region are identified, the microcontroller loads the data values associated with the printer and generates an acceptable MAC to enable printer operation.

    摘要: An environmentally insensitive device is described. The device uses a passive paper guide to direct an output paper stream from a paper source contained within the unit to an output aperture. The passive paper guide uses two opposing surfaces to define a radius of curvature through which the paper strip is guided. Use of longitudinal ridges along one or both of the surfaces reduces friction along the guide. By providing a rotatable output cover over the aperture and using a unit cover, a printed output can be achieved while maintaining the shielding of the unit from environmental effects.

The drum includes first and second journals and a plate mounted on the circumference of the first and second journals. At least one of the journals has defined on its circumference circumferential channels. The plate has interior and exterior sides, and the first and second journals and a portion of the plate's interior side define a chamber. The plate's exterior side has defined thereon a plurality of grooves. In one embodiment, at least one of the grooves, associated with a first film size, is in fluid communication with the chamber, and some of the remaining grooves, associated with the larger film sizes, are in fluid communication with the channels. A vacuum is supplied to the chamber, and a valve is provided for controlling fluid communication between the channels and the chamber.

The rotation of the rubber roller 46 is transmitted to the round blade cutter 40 by means of the speed increasing mechanism, and the round blade cutter 40 rotates at a high speed in the same direction with the rubber roller 46 and moves along the cutter groove 4 to cut the paper 12.
