摘要: The present application is directed to a packaging for a powdered explosive-detection training aid which may include first and second opposing flexible sheets heat sealed together along less than a periphery thereof and defining a storage compartment therebetween, wherein an unsealed portion of the periphery defines an opening to the storage compartment, wherein at least a portion of the first opposing flexible sheet is a semipermeable material permeable to a vapor emitted from the powdered explosive-detection training aid, with the second opposing flexible sheet being impermeable to the powdered explosive-detection training aid vapor; and a sealing member, wherein the sealing member is secured to the first opposing flexible sheet and, in a closing position, covers the semipermeable portion of the first opposing flexible sheet.

摘要: An impact energy suppression assembly for an inert ammunition cartridge is disclosed wherein the assembly includes a barrel, a piston and a compression resistant device. The barrel has a bottom wall with an opening, at least one generally cylindrical integral sidewall, and an open upper end, and the piston has a head and push rod which extends outwardly from the piston head for connection with the compression resistant device. The piston and compression resistant device are inserted into the assembly barrel which is inserted into the hollow cavity of inert firearm ammunition for use as a training device.

摘要: Haptic feedback system that simulates a detonation or explosive event. The system includes a power supply, an energy storage circuit, a switching circuit, and a conductor operatively connected to said energy storage circuit through said switching circuit whereby said conductor causes a haptic event when said energy storage circuit is electrically connected to said conductor by operation of said switching circuit. The system creates real explosions, shock waves and pressure waves in a safe manner for use in a simulator.

摘要: An electronic weapon with an installed deployment unit, from which at least one wire-tethered electrode is launched, provides a stimulus current through a target to inhibit locomotion by the target. A manifold, according to various aspects of the present invention, directs a pressurized gas to two or more electrodes to launch the electrodes from the cartridge and toward a target. A matching portion of the manifold increases a correspondence between an exit velocity and/or a time of exit of the two or more electrodes. An increased correspondence between an exit velocity and/or a time of exit increases an accuracy of delivery of the electrodes to a target.

摘要: An explosive device simulator system has a housing in the shape of an explosive device. The simulator includes a sound producing system inside the housing. A light producing system inside the housing receives an actuation signal from a trigger system. The trigger system may include a microcontroller, which can be used to include a delay between a trigger event and the actuation signal. The simulator may include a smoke producing system that includes a powder that is dispersed by a gas generator. The powder exits the housing through a number of vents. A cordite odor substance may be included in the powder to provide a realistic smell of an exploded device. A light producing system provides the flash of a real explosive device and is connected to the microcontroller.
