Abstract: A vapor source system based on vapor-liquid ejector supercharging combined with flash vaporization technology belongs to the technical fields of waste heat utilization and steam generation. The system comprises a vapor-liquid ejector, a flash vaporization tank and a intermediate heat exchanger, wherein the vapor-liquid ejector uses high-pressure steam to raise temperature and pressure of low-pressure water absorbed from the flash vaporization tank; the pressure-increased water is flashed into low-pressure saturated steam after entering the flash vaporization tank; the saturated water which is not flashed is collected at the bottom of the flash vaporization tank. The system generates multiple low-pressure flash vaporization saturated steam with a small portion of high-pressure steam, and realizes the recovery and utilization of waste heat such as flue gas of boiler, improves the economy of thermal process, and provides a flexible and adjustable vapor source for heavy oil thermal recovery, seawater desalination or sewage treatment equipment.

Abstract: An electrically heated aerosol-generating device is configured for use with a consumable cartridge including a storage portion containing an aerosol-forming substrate and having a fluid permeable internal surface surrounding an open-ended passage extending through the cartridge. The device includes a housing having a cavity for receiving the cartridge and a heater assembly positioned in the cavity. The heater assembly includes an electrically conductive hollow shaft portion connected to the housing and an electric heater positioned along the hollow shaft portion and having at least one heating element for heating the aerosol-forming substrate. The hollow shaft portion defines an airflow passage forming part of an airflow pathway through the device and is arranged to extend into the open-ended passage of the cartridge. The hollow shaft portion comprises a plurality of apertures, and the heating element is one or more narrow regions of the hollow shaft portion between adjacent apertures.

At least a portion of the first planar sheet is configured to be in contact with the solution. Abstract: Provided is a correlation deriving method including the steps of: generating coal ash by incinerating coal; generating sintered ash by heating the coal ash at a predetermined heating temperature within a range of a combustion temperature of a coal burning boiler; measuring hardness of the sintered ash; measuring an exhaust gas temperature exhibited when coal which is to have the hardness is burnt in the coal burning boiler; and deriving a correlation between the hardness and the exhaust gas temperature.

Abstract: An energy storage system (TES) converts variable renewable electricity (VRE) to continuous heat at over 1000° C. Intermittent electrical energy heats a solid medium. Heat from the solid medium is delivered continuously on demand. Heat delivery via flowing gas establishes a thermocline which maintains high outlet temperature throughout discharge. The delivered heat which may be used for processes including power generation and cogeneration. In one application, the energy storage system provides higher-temperature heat to a solid oxide electrolysis system to maintain in an electrolysis operating temperature range during operation and nonoperation, thereby increasing the efficiency of the temperature control.
