    摘要: This invention is an all gear infinitely variable transmission that is non-dependent on friction. It can me be used in high torque applications. It offers a steady and uniform output for a steady and uniform input. It allows a co-axial input and output thereby by using a planetary gear system the output can be made continuous from for to reverse. This uses a “scotch-yoke” mechanism to convert rotational motion to a linear reciprocating motion. The linear distance of this reciprocating motion—“stroke” is changed by altering the crankpin location of the scotch-yoke mechanism. This reciprocating motion is converted to a rocking motion by using a “rack and pinion” and later converted to a unidirectional motion via a One-Way-Bearing. A set of non-circular gears are used to achieve a steady and uniform output. It employs a very simple mechanism to change the ratio between the input and output of the transmission.

    摘要: A continuously variable transmission system is provided having an input driving member drivable in alternating motion by a source of input mechanical energy. A ratchet having a ratcheting member and an output driven member is provided, wherein the output driven member is rotationally driven in a continuous rotational direction. A drive spring and a drive linkage are drivingly linked between the input driving member and the ratcheting member, wherein a drive force applied to the input driving member is transmitted to the ratcheting member via the drive spring and drive linkage. A return spring is drivingly linked to the ratcheting member to apply a return force to the ratcheting member. A control apparatus is further configured to selectively vary a deflection curve of the drive spring, wherein the variation in the deflection curve generally determines one or more of a rotational speed and torque associated with the output driven member.

    摘要: A lost motion cam assembly for a vehicle lock. The assembly includes a lever, pivotally mounted to the housing and movable between locked and unlocked positions. A motor drives a gear mounted to a shaft in the housing. A cam is also rotatably mounted to the shaft, and includes a pair of opposing cam arms. When a cam arm engages a first interaction surface on the lever, the lever actuates. A second interaction surface on the lever stops the cam. The cam is operably connected to the gear by a lost motion connection that defines a range of free travel of the cam relative to the gear. Manually pivoting the lever while one of the pair of cam arms is in contact with the first interaction surface on the lever causes the cam to rotate within the range of free travel.

A plurality of guides rotationally coupled to the other of the body are angularly equispaced about the axis of the other body. Respective control elements displaceable in the guides and angularly coupled to the other body are each displaceable relative to the other body between a torque-transmitting position engaging the annular formation and rotationally coupling the bodies and a no-load position disengaged from and out of contact with the formation. A controller is selectively engageable with the control elements for displacing same between the engaged and disengaged positions.

    摘要: In the case of bicycles, the purpose of the new construction is to make maximum use of the momentum produced by pedalling under varying ground conditions, load, and acceleration--thus making bicycling easier. The construction has two variable positions which reduce the time during which the pedals are in a dead position (top and bottom) and prolong the time where the pedals are at right angles (16) whereby maximum effect is gained from the power force. This applies if the direction of force is non-circular, i.e. when there is a rise of the ground, and under acceleration as well as "standing pedalling". New positioning is possible in relation to the pedal arm (18), i.e. when changed ground conditions (rise) cause the center of gravity (pedalling) to shift. The invention differs from existing ones in that there is "increased" angular velocity between the driving shaft (1) and driven shaft (2) when they are on the same level and have the same longitudinal direction, which is the case in this construction. Also, the special suspension obtained by means of three moving rings (3) (4) (5) (like cardan suspension) of which the change of angle and vertical position (4) of the second ring together with the manually controllable parts (16) (18) produce the above-mentioned increased angular velocity and its position in relation to a given center of gravity. A gear-change lever of the gear-change device is mounted pivotably on a basis part of the gear-change device and is formed in its middle part as winding body for a gear-change draw cable. The middle part of the gear-change lever is provided with detents with which a ratchet pawl is associated which in turn is pivotably mounted to the basic part of the gear-change device. The ratchet pawl is subject to the return force of the stressed gear-change draw cable and may be provided with its own spring element which is effective in the outward pivoting. The gear-change device comprises only very few parts and can be produced at favorable price with no restriction of functional efficiency.
