In one example, a method includes storing pressurized gases within the accumulator by flowing intake air from a compressor of an engine of the vehicle to a pressure booster arranged upstream of the accumulator. 摘要: A compressor may include a compressor housing in which may be formed a charge air passage through which charge air may be flowable, an actuator arranged on the charge air passage for adaptation of a cross-section of the charge air passage, the actuator having a flow arrangement for influencing a flow of charge air through the charge air passage, and a linear actuator. The compressor may also have a housing body accommodating the linear actuator and integrally formed on the compressor housing, and a closure cover of the compressor housing closing the housing body and the compressor housing in an airtight manner against an external environment. A movement of the linear actuator directed tangentially to the flow arrangement may bring the flow arrangement into at least of at least one closed position and at least one open position to enable the cross-section of the charge air passage to be adapted.

摘要: Turbo or super charged intake tract diverter valve system, upstream of a throttle valve, includes a closure means (10) for a diversion aperture (4.1) in the intake tract (3) to vent pressurised gases within to a bypass path or atmosphere; the closure means having a transfer aperture (12) facilitating a net three due to a pressure differential on its opposite sides of the closure means (10) so as to close or keep closed the diversion aperture (4.1). When gas pressure on opposite sides of the closure means is equal, and when an upstream side (10.1) of the closure means (10) has a pressure greater than a downstream side (5.1), then it will open the diversion aperture (4.1). An actuation means opens a control aperture (6) to create the necessary pressure differential on the closure means (10) to thereby cause same to open the diversion aperture (4.1).

摘要: An enhanced pressure-wave supercharger for a combustion engine utilizes a superior pressure wave process cycle design. The design utilizes a select final portion of the compressed gas stream exiting the rotor, and supplies it to a subsequent inlet port ahead of and prior to the introduction into the rotor of the aspirated air to be compressed. Work is extracted within the rotor from this gas stream and transferred into rotational energy of the rotor through using a portion the available momentum of the compressed gas via incidence on the rotor webs to turn the rotor by means of conventional turbomachinery principles.

摘要: Methods and systems are provided for diagnosing the electrical efficiency of an electric supercharger staged upstream of a turbocharger. During idling conditions, a step-wise incremented signal may be commanded to an electric motor driving the supercharger compressor and changes in compressor speed and total vehicle current may be measured at each step. Degradation of electrical efficiency of the supercharger may be inferred based on deviations between the actual change in compressor speed and total vehicle current relative to the change expected for the given step, and mitigating actions may be accordingly performed.

摘要: A supercharging device for an engine is provided, which includes a supercharger provided to an intake passage of the engine, an actuator configured to drive the supercharger, and a controller including a processor configured to control the actuator to drive the supercharger when an operating state of the engine is in a given supercharging range, and to stop the supercharger when the operating state is in a non-supercharging range. The controller estimates an amount of condensate accumulated in an oil pan, and the controller causes the actuator to forcibly drive the supercharger when the estimated amount of condensate is more than a preset amount, even if the operating state is in the non-supercharging range.

The ring has inner wall surface defining first section extending axially along longitudinal axis proximate to compressor wheel, second section extending from first section radially away from longitudinal axis, and third section extending from second section radially away from and along longitudinal axis and distal to compressor wheel. The inlet section has first diameter and third section has second diameter being either one of equal to or less than first diameter.

摘要: The motorcycle includes: a supercharger that pressurizes intake air to supply the pressurized intake air to an engine; and an intake air tank forming an air intake chamber therein, which air intake chamber is provided at the downstream side of the supercharger with respect to an intake air flow direction and stores the intake air. The air intake chamber structure further includes an intake pipe formed as a separate body from the intake air tank and mounted on the intake air tank. The intake pipe serves as an inlet of the air intake chamber and projects inward of the air intake chamber. A projecting end portion of the intake pipe has a passage area that increases toward the downstream side in the intake air flow direction.
