摘要: The present invention provides steel sheet products having controlled compositions that are subjected to two-step annealing processes to produce sheet products having desirable microstructures and favorable mechanical properties such as high strength and ultra-high formability. The steel sheet products may be cold rolled or hot rolled. Steels processed in accordance with the present invention exhibit favorable combined ultimate tensile strength and total elongation (UTS•TE) properties, and may fall into the category of Generation 3 advanced high strength steels, desirable in various industries including automobile manufacturers.

摘要: A method for depositing a zinc-nickel alloy on a substrate, including:
(a) providing the substrate,
(b) providing an aqueous zinc-nickel deposition bath as catholyte in a compartment, wherein the compartment includes an anode and anolyte, the anolyte being separated from catholyte by a membrane, and the catholyte includes nickel ions, complexing agent, zinc ions,
(c) depositing zinc-nickel alloy onto the substrate, wherein after step (c) nickel ions have lower concentration than before step (c),
(d) rinsing the zinc-nickel coated substrate in water, obtaining a rinsed zinc-nickel coated substrate and rinse water including a portion of the complexing agent and nickel ions,
wherein (i) a portion of rinse water and/or a portion of catholyte is treated in a first treatment compartment to separate water from the complexing agent and the nickel ions,
(ii) returning the separated complexing agent to the catholyte, and
(iii) adding nickel ion to the catholyte.-

摘要: A hot-rolled steel sheet comprises, by wt %, 0.1-0.25% of carbon (C), 0.2-2.0% of manganese (Mn), 0.3% or less of silicon (Si), 0.05% or less of aluminum (Al), 0.05% or less of phosphorous (P), 0.03% or less of sulfur (S), 0.01% or less of nitrogen (N), 0.005 to 0.05% of titanium (Ti), 0.0005 to 0.005% of boron (B), 0.01% or less of niobium (Nb), 0.1% or less of molybdenum (Mo), 0.1% or less of vanadium (V), and the balance of iron (Fe) and inevitable impurities, comprises, in a microstructure, 55-90% of bainite and 10-45% of ferrite by volume fraction, the number per unit area of carbides having a major axis length of 25-500 nm from among carbides present in the bainite is 3*106/mm2 or more, and the average aspect ratio (major axis/minor axis) of the carbides present in the bainite can be 2.0 or less.

The hot-pressed member includes a Zn-based coated layer on a first side of a steel sheet, and a Zn-based coated layer on a second side of the steel sheet. A coating weight of Zn in the Zn-based coated layer on the first side of the steel sheet is 5 to 35 g/m2, and an average line roughness Ra of a surface of the Zn-based coated layer on the first side is less than or equal to 2.5 μm. The average line roughness Ra of a surface of the Zn-based coated layer on the second side of the steel sheet is greater than or equal to 3.5 μm.

摘要: A method for producing a zinc or zinc-alloy coated steel sheet with a tensile strength higher than 900 MPa, for the fabrication of resistance spot welds containing in average not more than two Liquid Metal Embrittlement cracks per weld having a depth of 100 μm or more, with steps of providing a cold-rolled steel sheet, heating cold-rolled steel sheet up to a temperature T1 between 550° C. and Ac1+50° C. in a furnace zone with an atmosphere (A1) containing from 2 to 15% hydrogen by volume, so that the iron is not oxidized, then adding in the furnace atmosphere, water steam or oxygen with an injection flow rate Q higher than (0.07%/h×α), α being equal to 1 if said element is water steam or equal to 0.52 if said element is oxygen, at a temperature T≥T1, so to obtain an atmosphere (A2) with a dew point DP2 between −15° C. and the temperature Te of the iron/iron oxide equilibrium dew point, then heating the sheet from temperature T1 up to a temperature T2 between 720° C. and 1000° C. in a furnace zone under an atmosphere (A2) of nitrogen containing from 2 to 15% hydrogen and more than 0.1% CO by volume, with an oxygen partial pressure higher than 10−21 atm., wherein the duration tD of heating of the sheet from temperature T1 up to the end of soaking at temperature T2 is between 100 and 500 s., soaking the sheet at T2, then cooling the sheet at a rate between 10 and 400° C./s, then coating the sheet with zinc or zinc-alloy coating.

摘要: The present invention provides a zinc battery anode that includes a first layer of zinc foil. An electroplated zinc seed layer is formed on the first layer of zinc foil, the electroplated zinc seed layer having a thickness in a range of 0.01 to 2 microns. The invention further provides a method for forming a seed layer on a zinc battery anode. In the process, the zinc seed layer is deposited on a zinc foil battery anode by electrochemical deposition from a zinc ion-containing solution at a current density of approximately 20 mA cm−2 to 100 mA cm−2 to form a uniform and dense seed layer. Through use of a seed layer on the zinc anode, dendrite formation is prevented and long battery life is demonstrated.
