摘要: Lost circulation materials may include a plurality of self-aggregating particles having a degradable coating, wherein the self-aggregating particles are capable of bonding via mechanical interactions, electrical interactions, magnetic interactions, chemical interactions, or any combination thereof into a plurality of aggregated particles. The aggregated particles have a larger effective size and can seal large openings/apertures in the subsurface that cause lost circulation during a wellbore drilling operation.

A system includes a solution generation tool for generating a liquid foam treatment, where the liquid foam treatment has a solution medium and nanobubbles, where the nanobubbles migrate along a concentration gradient, and an acoustic signal generator transmits an acoustic signal. The system also includes a downhole tool signally coupled to the acoustic signal generator fluidly coupled to the solution generation tool, and the downhole tool transmits an acoustic wave into an NWR and introduces the liquid foam treatment into the wellbore proximate to the NWR.-

摘要: A mixture of at least two shapes of a dissolvable diverter material. The shapes range from a flake having a high surface area to mass ratio to beads having a low surface area to mass ratio. The density of the various shapes may be manipulated by including voids or low-density materials within the shape. The density manipulation allows matching the transport properties of the at least two shapes to the transport fluid so that both shapes may arrive at the desired location at the desired time.

摘要: A silicon oxide Janus nanosheets relatively permeability modifier (RPM) for carbonate and sandstone formations. The silicon oxide Janus nanosheets RPM may be used to treat a water and hydrocarbon producing carbonate or sandstone formation to reduce water permeability in the formation and increase the production of hydrocarbons. The silicon oxide Janus nanosheets RPM for carbonate formations includes a first side having negatively charged functional groups and a second side having alkyl groups. The silicon oxide Janus nanosheets RPM for sandstone formations includes a first side having positively charged functional groups and a second side having alkyl groups. The negatively charged functional groups may include a negatively charged oxygen group groups and hydroxyl groups. The positively charged functional groups may include amino groups and an amine. Methods of reducing water permeability using the silicon oxide Janus nanosheets RPM and methods of manufacturing the silicon oxide Janus nanosheets RPM are also provided.

摘要: Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to a method of producing a viscoelastic surfactant (VES) fluid, the VES fluid comprising desulfated seawater. The method of producing the VES fluid comprises adding an alkaline earth metal halide to seawater to produce a sulfate precipitate. The method further comprises removing the sulfate precipitate to produce the desulfated water. The method further comprises adding a VES and one or more of a nanoparticle viscosity modifier or a polymeric modifier to the desulfated seawater. Other embodiments are directed to VES fluids that maintain a viscosity greater than 10 cP at temperatures above 250° F.
