    摘要: A system preventing an impaired driver from starting a vehicle has a mobile application executing on a portable communication device having a display screen, user-operable input elements, a microphone audio input, a speaker and wireless communication circuitry, a hardware component integrated into wiring of the vehicle, the hardware component comprising a normally open switching element operable by wireless signal from the portable communication device, that when open prevents the vehicle from starting, and an interactive interface displayed on the display screen.
    The interactive interface requests specific action from a candidate driver, records the candidate driver's action, determines if the action indicates the candidate driver is impaired, and if not impaired, signals the hardware component wirelessly to close the normally open switching element for a predetermined time, enabling the candidate driver to start the vehicle.

An output port of the DC/DC converter is connected to a video media control unit, and the DC/DC converter is provided separately from the video media control unit.     摘要: A battery pack includes a battery module, a battery case accommodating the battery module, and a wiring or a pipe, disposed inside the battery case. The battery case includes a bottom surface, a side wall standing from an outer edge portion of the bottom surface, and a cross member disposed across left and right side walls facing each other. The cross member includes a member main body formed by aluminum die casting together with at least a part of the bottom surface and the side wall, and a reinforcing plate installed on an upper surface of the member main body. The member main body includes a recessed portion in a central portion of the battery case. The wiring or the pipe is provided between the member main body and the reinforcing plate.

    摘要: A motor vehicle electrical distribution system includes an upfitter power supply subsystem with overcurrent protection for tripping (opening) a solid-state relay when current drawn from a main electrical source by the upfitter subsystem impacts other priority electrical loads of the vehicle. Warnings/alerts are generated to inform the user (e.g., driver) of the tripping events, which may include real-time graphing of a recent history of events. In order to restore power to the upfitter subsystem, a voltage supplied by a supplemental battery (i.e., vehicle start-up battery) to the upfitter subsystem is monitored. If the voltage stabilizes then a voltage from the main electrical source is intentionally dropped to the stabilized value and the solid-state relay is re-closed. Then the main voltage is ramped back up to its nominal value. An automatic reset time may be added to delay the reclosing if the solid-state relay has been operated excessively.

    摘要: The invention relates to an electric motor system (1) for a vehicle, which comprises an electric motor (M) having two power terminals configured to be connected to a power supply line (KL30) and a reference potential line (KL31), and a signal terminal. The electric motor system (1) further comprises a switch element (D) with a first end configured to connect the power supply line (KL30), and a second end connected to a corresponding power terminal of the electric motor (M), and a driving circuit (HS) configured to monitor whether the electric motor (M) has a malfunction and control the switch element (D) correspondingly, a logic portion of a motor driving circuit is configured to be connected and powered by a key line (KL15) carrying a voltage indicative of the ignition status of the vehicle. The invention further provides a fan module for a vehicle.
