    摘要: The invention relates to steel-rule cutting dies having a die block with at least one kerf configured to receive a corresponding steel-rule intended to be partially inserted into the kerf. The die block also has at least one element having magnetic properties, such as for instance a magnet, located or embedded in proximity to each kerf for providing a magnetic field that retains the steel-rule when the steel-rule is received into the corresponding kerf. The presence of the magnetic element(s) in proximity to the kerf(s) allows maintaining the corresponding rule(s) in position within its kerf even if the kerf is cut “loosely”. The corresponding rule may be quickly and easily inserted and accurately maintained even if the die block expand or retract under atmospheric variations. Among other advantages, the invention allows better stability of the cutting-die, faster leveling on press, and increased the number of re-knifing and longer run-time.

    摘要: This invention provides web-cutting mechanism that can be mounted in line at an appropriate location between the web-handling peripheral (printer) and a web roll. The cutting mechanism operates before the available storage in the winder festoon has been exhausted, and decouples the roll's energy from the web. The cutting mechanism can employ a blade that is drawn through the web solely by the movement of the web itself. The blade is mounted at a (e.g.) 45-degree angle to web travel, causing it to be pulled through the web. A negator spring assembly and associated cable drives the blade into the side edge of the web when a slide-mounted blade shuttle assembly is released by a latching pawl of a solenoid assembly. The solenoid is triggered by a signal indicating an emergency stop condition, such as an upstream jam.

    摘要: The invention relates to a spring-damper element (2) for mounting a punching press (1), with a hydraulic damper unit (3) with a first fluid chamber (4) and a second fluid chamber (5), wherein, in the intended operation, a hydraulic fluid is displaced from the first fluid chamber (4) via a throttle point (6) into the second fluid chamber (5) when the spring-damper element (2) is compressed. The damper unit further comprises an overload valve (7) arranged between the first fluid chamber (4) and the second fluid chamber (5), which overload valve opens when a specific fluid pressure is reached in the first fluid chamber (4) or when a specific pressure difference is reached between the first fluid chamber (4) and the second fluid chamber (5) and releases a bypass (8) via which hydraulic fluid then flows from the first fluid chamber (4) into the second fluid chamber (5) bypassing the throttle point (6). Thereby, the spring-damper element (2) is designed in such a way that the fluid pressure or the pressure difference, respectively, at which the overload valve (7) opens can be adjusted when the spring-damper element (2) is installed as intended. With such spring-damper elements according to the invention, it becomes possible to create a mounting arrangement for a punching press, the damping characteristics of which can be adjusted without significant effort, such that a variable operation of the press in wide ranges becomes possible while keeping the ground loading to a minimum in each case.
