摘要: A wireless wild fire defense system network supporting proactive protection of life and property in GPS-specified neighborhoods using GPS-managed delivery of environmentally-clean anti-fire (AF) chemical liquid spray to property before wild fire reaches the neighborhoods. The wireless system network includes a GPS system for providing GPS-location services to each system components in the wireless system network. A wireless communication network supports one or more network databases accessible by systems and devices deployed on the wireless communication network. A fleet of mobile GPS-tracked anti-fire liquid spraying systems are assigned to GPS-specified neighborhoods for spraying anti-fire chemical liquid on combustible property, buildings, and ground cover to inhibit fire ignition and flame spread wherever the anti-fire chemical liquid is sprayed. When allowed to dry, the anti-fire chemical liquid provides fire-protection status to sprayed property that is GPS-tracked and mapped within a network database maintained on the wireless communication network, recording wherever the environmentally-safe anti-fire chemical liquid has been spray applied. The system network includes mobile computing systems, each running a mobile application and deployed to a property owner, spray contractor or other stakeholder, such as firefighters and property insurance inspectors, for remotely monitoring the fire-protection status of property in any GPS-specified neighborhood, at any time on any specified date, along with the status of active wild fires surrounding the neighborhood. A command center deployed on the wireless system network transmits wild fire alerts and notifications and property spray orders, and supports microservices configured for monitoring and managing GPS-tracked spraying operations within GPS-specified neighborhoods. Through GPS-managed delivery of anti-fire chemical liquid spray on property surfaces before arrival of wild fire, fire ignition and flame spread are inhibited, and human and animal life and property are protected.

摘要: System and methods to provide ceiling-only suppression fire protection of up to fifty feet (50 ft.) of rack storage of cartoned unexpanded plastic commodities and less hazardous commodities, such as for example, Class 1, Class 2, Class 3, Class 4 and/or combinations thereof beneath a ceiling having a maximum ceiling height up to fifty-five feet (55 ft.). The systems and methods provide for hydraulic and system parameters that include a hydraulic design area based upon five to no more than twelve hydraulically most remote sprinklers spaced at a preferred sprinkler-to-sprinkler spacing of eight to ten feet (8-10 ft.) coupled to two to four branch lines tied to a common cross main supply pipe of firefighting fluid.

摘要: A storage system is disclosed where goods can be stored in containers and the containers are stored in stacks. Above the stacks runs a grid network of rails (e.g., tracks) on which load handling devices can run. To take containers from the stacks and deposit then at alternative locations in the stacks or deposit then at stations where goods may be picked. The framework may be provided with one or more of the following exemplary services: power, power control, heating, lighting, cooling, sensors, and data logging devices. The provision of these services within the framework rather than across the system as a whole, can allow for flexibility in storage whilst reducing cost and inefficiency.

摘要: An automated storage and retrieval system includes: a storage grid having storage columns arranged in rows, in which storage containers are stacked one on top of another; a rail system having a first set of parallel rails arranged in a horizontal plane and extending in a first direction, and a second set of parallel rails arranged in the horizontal plane and extending in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction, which first and second sets of rails form a grid pattern in the horizontal plane having a plurality of adjacent grid cells; at least one container handling vehicle configured to move on the rail system, including a wheel arrangement configured to guide the at least one storage container vehicle along the rail system in at least one of the first direction and the second direction; and a service vehicle for movement on the rail system.

摘要: Antifreezes are provided for deployment in wet sprinkler systems located in cold environments. The antifreezes allow for the wet sprinkler system to be actuated under temperatures below 32° F. Wet sprinklers, sprinkler systems, methods of providing for the control, suppression and/or extinguishment of a fire that occur in a cold environment, and methods of preventing wet sprinklers from freezing also are provided. The sprinklers, sprinkler systems and methods can be used in residential, commercial and storage settings.

摘要: A thermal trigger assembly for remote mechanical actuation of another fire protection system component includes an activation component having a base and a movable member. A bias member biases the movable member from a preactivation to an activated position with respect to the base. A thermally responsive element retains the movable member in the preactivation position until a predetermined thermodynamic condition is reached, when the thermally responsive element loses structural integrity. A flexible connector includes a flexible hollow outer cable housing with one end configured to be stationarily (preferably fixedly) connected with the base. A flexible cable is inside the outer cable housing for sliding movement therein and has one end configured to be stationarily (preferably fixedly) connected with the movable member. The flexible cable is moved with respect to the outer cable housing by movement of the movable member upon loss of structural integrity by the thermally responsive element.

摘要: A fire protection system is provided for a space having a roof including a pitched portion and at least one end portion having a hip, sloping downward from an apex substantially coinciding with an end of the pitched portion toward an eave and extending outward toward the ends of the sides of the pitched portion. The hip may have a lower hip, including jack trusses, and an upper hip, including stepdown trusses. Within the upper hip, at least two rows of sprinklers may be placed, with a first row of sprinklers located substantially at the apex. The maximum allowable spacing between sprinklers in a direction perpendicular to the slope of the hip may be greater than a maximum allowable spacing between rows of sprinklers, i.e., in a direction parallel to the slope of the hip.
