摘要: The present invention relates to a device (100) comprising a body (1) defining a containment volume (2) for a fluid for medical use and equipped with a terminal (3) which defines a conduit (4) configured to put the containment volume (2) into communication with the outside. The device (100) comprises a cap support (10) integral with the body (1) and disposed outside the containment volume (2), the cap support (10) defining an internal volume (11) housing the terminal (3). The device (100) comprises a tip cap (20) associable with the cap support (10) by first constraint means (30) and associable with the terminal (3) by second constraint means (31). The tip cap (20) is configured to assume at least a first stable position and a second stable position.
In the first stable position, the tip cap (20) is integral with the cap support (10), in the first stable position a first portion (21) of the tip cap (20) being housed in the internal volume (11) of the cap support (10) and a second portion (22) of the tip cap (20) emerging from the internal volume (11) of the cap support (10). In the second stable position, the tip cap (20) is integral with the terminal (3) and is completely housed in the internal volume (11) of the cap support (10). The containment volume (2) is in communication with the outside when the tip cap (20) assumes the first stable position and is sealed when the tip cap (20) assumes the second stable position.-

摘要: A handheld sanitization device includes ultraviolet emitter(s) housed within an enclosure. The enclosure has a window for passing the ultraviolet light from the ultraviolet emitter(s). A mechanism selectively blocks the window that has an open position in which the ultraviolet light passes through the window and out of the enclosure and has a closed position in which the window is occluded, thereby blocking the passage of the ultraviolet light from the ultraviolet emitter(s), through the window. The mechanism is biased into the closed position. There is an electromechanical device physically interfaced between the enclosure and the mechanism and there is a trigger switch electrically coupled to the electromechanical device. Responsive to operation of the trigger switch, the mechanism is moved from the closed position into the open position by movement of the electromechanical device, thereby, releasing the ultraviolet light through the window.

摘要: An apparatus for delivering a virus action suppressing component performs, when delivering an active ingredient including a virus action suppressing component into a space, detecting a humidity in the space, determining whether the humidity in the space is equal to or higher than a first set value, and increasing an amount of the active ingredient delivered into the space when the humidity in the space is equal to or higher than the first set value, compared to when the humidity in the space is less than the first set value. This can increase the effect of suppressing the action of viruses when the humidity is high.

摘要: Systems and methods that integrate fluid-based powder conveyance for cleaning articles, including lumens and medical devices are presented. For example, a method of cleaning an article comprises a step of flowing a first fluid comprising a cleaning agent to a chamber. Flowing the first fluid comprising the cleaning agent to the chamber creates a pressure differential across a filter fluidly coupled to the chamber. When a pressure differential reaches a threshold, indicating that the cleaning agent has been accurately metered, flow of the first fluid comprising the cleaning agent is stopped. Next, flowing a second fluid through the chamber conveys the cleaning agent to an article, e.g., through a lumen of a medical or culinary device, thereby cleaning the article.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to methods and devices to improve respiratory system health, increase resistance to infection, and increase the hypothiocyanate ion in mammalian lungs. The methods generally comprise: generating a Hydrogen Peroxide Gas that is non-hydrated and free of ozone, and directing the gas comprising primarily Hydrogen Peroxide Gas into an environment and exposing a subject to the environment such that the Hydrogen Peroxide Gas acts to the increase of the hypothiocyanate ion in mammalian lungs.

摘要: Disclosed herein are disinfection inserts comprising a fiber optic and a polymer surrounding at least a portion of the fiber optic (and methods of making and using the same). The polymer comprises a NO donor molecule that releases NO upon illumination of the polymer by the fiber optic. The disinfection inserts can be inserted into tubing, catheters, and/or extracorporeal devices and illuminated to release NO from the polymer. The released NO inactivates pathogens on or within the tubing, catheter, and/or extracorporeal device. The disinfection insert can be configured for removable attachment to the tubing, catheter, and/or extracorporeal device, such that it can be periodically replaced. Furthermore, the disinfection insert can be placed in optical communication with a controllable light source. The controllable light source can be coupled to a light source controller. The intensity and wavelength of the light can be varied to change the flux of NO.
