摘要: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for hybrid media distribution in a telehealth session are disclosed. A telehealth session may comprise a video conferencing session between local participants in a first location, such as an operating room, and remote participants in a second location distinct from the first location. The remote participants may connect to the telehealth session via a remote server. The local participants may connect to the telehealth session via a local server disposed in the first location. The local server may forward data received from devices in the first location to the remote server. Prior to forwarding the data, the local server may obscure portions of the data to protect the privacy of the data, such as the face of a patient. The remote server may then broadcast the obscured data to the remote participants.

摘要: A computer-implemented method/system of providing video clip playback, including: (i) receiving a video feed; (ii) converting the video feed into a compressed format structure; (iii) uploading the compressed format structure to a first server; (iv) receiving an electronic edit decision list defining how to manipulate the compressed format structure; (v) saving the electronic edit decision list to a server; (vi) receiving a request to provide to a user terminal a video clip playback corresponding to a video clip defined by the compressed format structure and the electronic edit decision list; (vii) sending to the user code executable to provide the video clip defined by the compressed format structure and the electronic edit decision list, and (viii) responding to requests from the code when executed, to provide content corresponding to the compressed format structure stored, in accordance with the electronic edit decision list, to provide the decision list video clip playback.

The receiving device acquires a digital broadcast signal that includes audio-video (AV) content and location information, the location information indicating a source from which application control information for controlling an operation of an application executed in conjunction with a progressing timing of the AV content is obtainable, acquires the application control information from the source indicated by the location information, the application control information including an application ID and a uniform resource locator (URL), obtains, from the URL included in the acquired application control information, control information during a polling period that is defined in accordance with an attribute specified in the acquired application control information, and controls the operation of the application based on the acquired application control information and the obtained control information.

In an example method, a plurality of content tags are received from a plurality of media content devices over a communication network. Each of the plurality of content tags may designate a location within a media content item. The content tags are processed to generate aggregated content tags for the media content item. The aggregated content tags may designate one or more portions of the media content item for modified playback. The aggregated content tags for the media content item are transmitted over the communication network to a first media content device separate from the plurality of media content devices.

摘要: A method for automatic selection of video sequences to fill a break in a broadcasted program, including determining an estimated duration of the break (bi) and selecting from a collection of videos, such as advertisements, a sequence of videos to be played out. The sequence has a second duration which is shorter than the estimated duration and the selection depends on broadcast priority criteria associated with at least some of said videos. The method also includes broadcasting the sequence of videos and broadcasting a fill-in video signal until the end of the break.

摘要: Current interfaces for displaying information about items appearing in videos are obtrusive and counterintuitive. They also rely on annotations, or metadata tags, added by hand to the frames in the video, limiting their ability to display information about items in the videos. In contrast, examples of the systems disclosed here use neural networks to identify items appearing on- and off-screen in response to intuitive user voice queries, touchscreen taps, and/or cursor movements. These systems display information about the on- and off-screen items dynamically and unobtrusively to avoid disrupting the viewing experience.

摘要: Systems, devices, and methods for streaming or otherwise delivering media content over a network are provided. One exemplary method of streaming media content over a network using a RS-DVR system involves receiving, at the RS-DVR system, a request for a portion of the media content from a media player on a client device via the network, receiving, at the RS-DVR system, the portion of the media content from an origin server on the network, buffering the portion of the media content at the RS-DVR system, and transmitting the portion of the media content to the media player on the client device. The portion of media content may be transmitted using a modified transport layer protocol, and in some embodiments, marked as non-cacheable.
